Landed here by mistake. Was planning on going next door. I am so happy I made this mistake! Their cheese toast sandwich was delicious and the lady at the counter was so nice and welcoming! Thank you for a delicious lunch!

Never heard of one so thought I would give it a go. Completely blown away, what a sandwich. The olive salad in it is awesome. Highly recommend this place.

When you return to a place, your experience depends in part on your memories. Alberto's was great the last time we visited, and still great this time. Fast service, great food, and friendly employees. Located under the tent in the French Market. Don't bother ordering...More

Our family of 8, including grandparents would take Alberto's muffuletta over any other in New Orleans! The bread was the key to their muffuletta standing out above all others. They take their time creating an excellent sandwich that can feed two to three people for...More

We ended up at the French market after a free walking tour and the food on display here looked good. Two of us shared a Muffaletta which was more than enough - fresh ingredients and fairly cheap. Limited seating but you didn't need to hang...More

We ended up at Alberto's after a food tour and at the suggestion of our guide who insisted their muffaletta was just as good as the other two well known "competitors". After taking the first bite, I was sorry I have asked my husband to...More

My husband and I stopped by Alberto's while strolling through the French Market. We ordered a Reuben and a Muffaletta. Both were outstanding! The corned beef in the Reuben tasted lean and flavorful, and the sandwich had the perfect balance of ingredients. The Muffaletta was...More

We discovered this on a food tour - we went back twice in our three day visit! The muffeleto is the best in the city - the owners are SO wonderful, friendly, helpful, adorable! I recommend this as your first must stop foodie place.

Excellent cheeses and sangria. We had trouble deciding which cheeses for our cheese platter so we asked the proprietor to pick her favorites...best idea ever! The blue cheese from Germany was the best we ever had and the others were excellent as well. I had...More
