Amazing dinner in NOLA - the best we had all weekend! Get the ribs - they are AMAZING! The drinks were delicious and fun, and Matty did a great job as our server! Delicious!

This is not a take-out bar. Sit down, get a drink and eat and talk. You won't regret it. We got here too early for serious drinking and hours before dinner so we had the punch of the day and other special drinks. Terrific mofongo and tostones served at the bar by a real artist of a bartender. Drinks were... More

It's difficult to overpraise C&T. The bartenders exemplify what it means to treat cocktails on the level of fine cuisine...they press their own juices, make their own syrups, and push the envelope with both New Orleans traditional cocktails (ie the Pimms Cup) and their own creations (many of them of the rum-based Tiki-variety). I highly recommend sitting at the comfortable... More

After much research on great cocktails, our first adventure in the Big Easy took us to Cane and Table. The entire staff takes pride in their work. The bar is a feast for the eyes, with historic charm and marble bar top. The jars of spices, herbs and dried flowers used in the drinks are a testament to their fine... More

Food was good but not so New Orleans as I was expected. The service was slow, and the waitress did not explain well the dishes content. There should be better options at NOLA.

We heard about Cane & Table Rum Bar from a friend, and we made a point to visit. They have about 50-60 different rums on the menu, with light bar food. Pricing is a bit steep for the pours, but the ambience is great - they played nothing but Motown which is one of my favorite genres. If you like... More

I am so happy we did not give up on finding this place! After passing through a simple glass door with only a small menu identifying the local, you find a long bar and seating area (spectacular with the evening lighting) that leads to a charming outdoor area. Rustic details and greenery compliment an extensive and creative cocktail menu and... More

Loved everything about this spot. Excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, tasty morning drinks and delicious, inventive food. The menu was definitely small, especially with one item not available on this particular day, but everything we tried was delicious. I recommend the Rice Calas for a fun twist on a beignet. We will be back.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
