My wife had the LPG Burger which she said was excellent. I had their Shrimp and Grits, which at first I was hesitant since being to Charleston SC their Shrimp and Grits I knew it would be hard to beat let alone be equal. However, I was wrong their Shrimp and Grits was every bit as good as i have... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our meal here - it met all expectations! My rabbit was the best I ever had and my husband loved his steak. Service was above and beyond. Not to be missed on a trip to NOLA.

A very nice restaurant in the Uptown neighborhood, with a good local vibe, white tablecloths and attentive service. It is a 15 minute cab ride from the French Quarter but definitely worth it for those seeking a more local experience. Drinks at the handsome bar, with a friendly bartender, were inventive and excellent. The tables are well spaced out in... More

we've been reading about La Petite Grocery, so we know we had to make it part of our trip. It worked out that our first night there was the best night for us to go. It was hard to select something from the menu. We wanted everything; so we opted for many small plates instead of two large ones; that... More

Finished Jazz Fest. It was a long day and absorbing the sun whole day long. We did have a nap before we go out for dinner but we still feel a bit exhausted. We arrived at the restaurant and search for our booking and the receptionist found it but the table is not ready yet so we stand by the... More

A large group of us dined at La Petite Grocery during the first weekend of Jazz Fest. This is typically an insane time fore restaurants, but the service at LPG was superb. We had a nice outdoor table, which did not diminish the attention they paid to our group. The wine list is well-curated, and the sommelier is really excellent.... More

We very much enjoyed our dinner at La Petite Grocery. The shrimp and grits were divine. Our daughter loved their hamburger and fries.

Food at this mid range restaurant is excellent. Plenty and varied menu choices. We enjoyed all our dishes and find the prices very reasonable for this quality of food. The wine prices are also good value. Mind you we are comparing to Melbourne, Australia prices where a meal & drinks of this standard would be at least a third higher.... More

Had a largish party of family members celebrating a couple birthdays. Restaurant and staff were very accommodating. Food excellent as always, especially the Blue Crab Beignets and the Panéed Rabbit. In particular, the spätzle accompanying the rabbit were amazingly good. They appeared to be typical spätzle that had been fried/browned to a slightly crispy texture on the outside while still... Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
