Loved the neighborhood ambience, and the Poboys, which came highly recommended, did not disappoint. We had the roast beef poboy, the firecracker shrimp poboy, onion rings, and wings, and everything was delicious.

We were visiting the garden district and decided to stop here based on reviews. I had the best cat fish Poboys. It was 2 thin layers of the lightest battered fish. You would never know it was fried. There was absolutely no grease. It also...More

This very simple hidden away kitchen has amazing Poboys! Try the spicy shrimp version or the Half-half. Very local place.

I suppose that one may want to come here because it is an Irish Channel Landmark, and if that is your reason for visiting, that's OK. But be aware that the building is dilapidated, that toilets are cramped, smelly and dirty and it is a...More

Sorry, I can't answer this question, but they may. Whatever they use was very light. Like Patricia suggested, you should call them.

Description
Born in 1952, in the Irish Channel neighborhood, Parasol's is a New Orleans tradition that is known as THE place to go for roast beef po boys, and a huge St. Patricks Day block party. We are a neighborhood bar to the world, where everyone is welcome and treated like an old friend. Our kitchen is dedicated to taking old school New Orleans food to a new level of flavor and quality. Belly up to the old Irish bar and enjoy a pint of Guiness or wander upstairs to our smoke free dining room. You can indulge in our delicious food either way. Parasol's is a throw back to a simpler time when the social life of the neighborhood centered around the corner bar. A place where the stuff of life is discussed, celebrated and even mourned. At Parasol's it's all about you !
