My wife and I had dinner here a few days ago and loved it. I had the Gumbo Ya Ya for an appetizer and it was delicious! I highly recommend it. My wife had the soup trip and it include a sweet potato chorizo bisque and she lived that soup best. For my entree, I had the BBQ shrimp. I... More

Len was a great server! Our food was delicious! We loved how the fresh bread is provided in a bag to keep it warm. The BBQ Shrimp is not really "BBQ" as we think about it. Instead it's shrimp in a really good sauce that you can dredge your fresh bread into to soak up the goodness! Loved the holiday... More

Food ok but over-expensive wines and service sincerely lacking. Door staff pretentious. Our waiter, Giorgio went through the motions but was lacking in personal service. The ultimate offence was not receiving a thank you or goodbye even though we were directly in his sight when deoarting. The least we'd expect especially due to the culture of assumed tipping in the... More

We have enjoyed Mr. B’s for many years (both pre- and post-Katrina), but last week’s overall dinner experience was disappointing. The staff (waiters, reception, & kitchen) appeared bored / tired & unfriendly. The team concept for wait staff for a table was not working from our point of view. The food also appeared to be bored & tired. It lacked... More

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. The waiter brought us champagne to celebrate, we didn't ask for it. We started with the best sea scallops. The scallops were perfectly prepared and seasoned. My husband had the shrimp and grits. Delicious! I had a the filet with truffle butter. The shrimp and grits very flavorful. We finished by sharing... More

The service we received was exceptional and the food was okay but not outstanding. I enjoyed our time there but mainly because of the service. I think it was very high-priced for what we got but that's just part of New Orleans I guess. My biggest disappointment was the bread pudding with whiskey sauce. I didn't detect the slightest flavor... More

We sat at the bar to assure fast service. We still had to flag down the bar tender for our drink and food order . Food took over 20 min to come out . It was absolutely delicious so we quickly forgot our frustration

Are lunch here with my wife. We shared two appetizers, fried oysters and eggplant sticks, that were both nice, then shared a portion of traditional Louisiana BBQ shrimp, which are sauteed and not grilled. They come in an amazing spicy sauce that is really tasty but they are shell on, so very messy. Overall a very positive experience except the... More

This was my first food experience in New Orleans on my vacation. It was the start of enjoying some wonderful food. We arrived in New Orleans and we were hoping to get there before lunch ended however website says lunch is until 2:00 However you can sit at the bar order from a limited menu until 5:00. Which was fantastic... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
