Decided to try because the food look good for a mall food court and served regional food. We opted to try the alligator and fried okra. After persuading the children to try they absolutely loved them both! Will definitely go again.

I tried the grilled shrimp platter which included the dirty rice. It was very good and I got to experience the local flavors. Reasonably priced.

This was some of the best food while in New Orleans. Who would think in a food court! The fried catfish with crawfish ettouffee was amazing!

We stopped by for a quick lunch and were craving for Cajun food...well the shrimps, gumbo, okra, or beans were good, nothing out of this world but just what we needed it and not very pricey.

I used to go to their location on Bourbon Street prior to Katrina. Although this is a fast food restaurant, the quality of the food is as good as it was at their sit-down restaurant. The food is excellent, quick, and a good price.

The staff need to be more customer service friendly. Prices are good. Food cooked too hard for me, had fried catfish and hush puppies. The red beans and rice were too dry! I just was not feeling what I got in the New Orleans. BY THE WAY, I waited a while in line to be disappointed.

I eat Seafood every time I go to the gulf coast. It is by far my favorite food so I tend to be critical. The last time I was at Mike Andersons I had Grilled Shrimp. Overall it was ok, better than most lunch choices but the shrimp was grossly over grilled and dry. Still, given the choices for lunch... More

Where else can you get oysters on the half shell, shucked fresh near where they were caught, while at a shopping mall? This was my first time seeing it and it did not disappoint. Excellent.

We recently visited New Orleans and had a meal at Mike Anderson's Seafood at the Riverwalk. The food was delicious and we enjoyed sitting at a table outside watching riverboats going by on the Mississippi. Though the food was prepared "fast food" style, it was tasty and great for a quick meal on the go.

We used to live in Baton Rouge and Mike Andersons was one of our favorite restaurants. I always ordered the Shrimp Norman; it was my favorite choice out of any restaurant menu. So when we had the chance to get to New Orleans, of course I looked up Mike Andersons. It was disappointing that the restaurant on Bourbon Street has... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
