Came here with my husband while we were on our honeymoon. The food smelled delicious when we walked past here during the day so when we read some reviews about it online, we decided to go there for dinner. The service was probably the worst I've had in my life. I have never complained at a restaurant, nor have I... More

Friends, this is the food you strive to find. One of the best meals I've ever had. I went here on my way out of Nola, ordered take out to eat in my car, was in such heaven I went back and ordered a second meal. This place should have a 5/5. Serious kudos to the chefs. Thank you for... More

We LOVE Nola food and enjoy Mexican often. We wouldn't normally eat it while in New Orleans since their local food is already phenomenal, however, we seeked this place out from multiple recommendations. We had the Flying Burrito, Black & Gold, and Al Pastor. All were terrific and had great flavor. Would love to visit again! PS- Al Pastor had... More

Most people don't think of Mexican food when they think of New Orleans, but this place is awesome! The food is very reasonably priced, and the flavor is so good. I got the big burrito with all different types of meat on it, and it was delicious. My husband got the nachos, and he was very happy with his meal.... More

We ate here for lunch with a small group of coworkers. It is very popular and we had a short wait for a seat. Due to the crowd, service was a bit slow, drinks very slow to get refilled. Overall the food was pretty good, not exceptional. Good atmosphere in a surprising location. Price was a bit high, but expected... More

The best! Food is great, atmosphere is fun and service is quick and friendly. I love the menu but always end up ordering the same thing. Can't get away from the Jerk Nachos! Yummy! Food is fresh and drink are great. Almost never have to wait long for a table and even if I do it's worth it! Prices are... More

We had heard of the wonderful food there, so we had to try it for ourselves. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing, portions were good and the service was top notch. We love it so much that before we left New Orleans we HAD to eat there again. Worth going, you just have to try it

Although it's billed as Mexican creole fusion, it's more on the Mexican side. That's ok because the food is amazing and the portions are huge for what you pay. If you're in the Garden District, you have to stop in.

Glad I checked it out. It was really good. We had fish tacos and the flying burrito. Both were delicious.

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
