Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant, right around the corner from where we stayed. So happy they did! Loved the quaintness, the intimate setting (was especially nice with the huge Christmas tree!), and the food was the best! Attentive service. It is a BYOB, which...More

I've visited new orleans three times in the past 1.5 years and lived there 25 years ago. At each visit we enjoyed EAT for some of the best breakfast options I have ever tasted (fig and mascarpone waffles!) but on this thanksgiving week trip we...More

I went by myself to Eat for lunch and the specials were turkey chilli and Ham frittata, and they were definitely special. I sat at a table in the window and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere on a rainy day. The service was great too, although...More

Friends have eaten here before and really liked it, so we were very disappointed. This is a BYO, so our party of 6 brought 2 bottles of wine. Their policy is to charge a $15 corkage fee for the 2nd bottle. I get it, they...More

I know that ppl come to New Orleans from all over the world and ask about where do the locals eat? Here at Eat. Good food and good service. Actually saw Harrison Ford once. Worth your time.

We opened the evening here at 5:30 and had the place to ourselves. Waiter was knowledgable and answered our questions. We settled on a dinner plate special of Salisbury Steak, and it came as a perfectly cooked 12 oz ball. We split the main course....More

I stopped in for lunch as my first meal in NOLA. The cafe is a small and charming space. I had the special - a soft shell crab po' boy with a side of mustard greens. Everything was fresh and hot and quickly served. I'm...More

We enjoyed trying typical New Orleans food at EAT. I had deep fried soft shell crab, which I had been encouraged to try while there. It was ok-- deep fried foods tend to just taste like the breading, so I didn't really taste the crab....More

The menu does say gluten free options available. We were impressed that they stated so on the menus. Give them a call and ask which options are gluten free. Based on our experience they will be more than happy to help.
