Went here on the suggestion of a local friend...we were not disappointed. The crab and sweet corn soup was like eating dessert. Two of the three of us had angel hair pasta and both of us thought that it was the very best pasta that we have ever had....incredible melt in your mouth pasta.

If you are looking for good Italian in a "neighborhood" restaurant, Vincent's is a great choice. Small, crowded and good!!! I remember when this place was Campagno's!! My wife and I split the Eggplant Sandwich appetizer. It was excellent. For dinner we had the Veal Roberto, a sautéed veal with crabmeat and a light wine sauce. Very good as well.... More

We got lucky on this one because the other place we were going to eat was closed. We had talked to some girls on the St. Charles Street car who were going to Vincent's and they said it was great. Our place was closed so we walked a few blocks to Vincent's and were glad we did. The food and... More

Wonderful dinning experience. Fantastic food. We split an antipasto before dinner. Breadsticks and flavored butter on the table. Be careful don't fill up on them! We chose the cannoli and eggplant medallions. Best eggplant I have ever had! Corn and crabmeat bisque came with my husband's order. Salad and bread came with both. With wine and tip Our check was... Lived in Nola 6 years, fell in love first visit. Would put in my top 3 restaurants in Nola if not first, because I have yet to not visit every time we are down there. Atmosphere is great, waitstaff so attentive. If you go, all the Italian dishes are amazing, but the crab cakes are by far my favorite. Get the... More

Ventured out of the downtown area to this comfortable and casual Italian eatery. The trolley ride there allows for a restful viewing of New Orleans homes of the garden district...grand and so beautiful! Staff was very accommodating...portions very nicely sized. Chicken Crusted with Parmesan was generous and quite delicious. Noodles with garlic, oil and green onions perfectly cooked. Reservations recommended.... More

The staff at Vincent's embodies the true spirit of southern hospitality. It felt as if though i was eating at a friends house, only the food here is a lot better. I loved the fact that everyone took pride in the restaurant, and that was reflected in the food and service I received. I recommend coming here for special occasions... More

Neighborhood restaurant frequented by locals and tourists alike. Outstanding food in a cozy, romantic atmosphere. Reservations recommended. The corn crab bisque served in a bread bowl is unbeatable!

Our group of 6 picked this restaurant for a Friday night. Good thing we thought ahead and got a reservation for 5:30 because this is a very popular restaurant. While I was sitting in their small bar I could hear them on the phone turning folks away. Not much room inside and the tables are packed tight as tight can... More

My GF used to live here, and we return every year for Mardi Gras, and was one of her favorite spots. Excellent service and food was great. After dinner we went to the bar for a night cap. Again great service. IMHO wine list needs updating and more Italian varietals.

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
