Decided to check it out based on others reviews. We were there on a Friday around 2:30 so did not expect it to be too busy. Wrong...they were slammed with about 30 people in line ahead of us. That went pretty well and we soon had more food than we knew what to do with in front of us. There... More

We came to this highly recommended place of "cheap eats" to find out if it lived up to the hype and actually has quality food. IT DOES. We had a regular shrimp and a roast beef po boy and also ordered a gumbo for each of us. For $5.25 each, how big could they be? The gumbo serving was huge... More

If you have read my reviews, most of the places that I eat at are the "cheap eats" places. Parkway is a must try place if you want a po-boy. The menu leans heavily toward that New Orleans sandwich, but why try and mess up a good thing. You will like it.

The Parkway was reccomended by a friend from NOLA, so last time we were in the city we went there to eat. Absolutely the best roast beef po' boy we've ever had, and we've eaten at dozens of places in NOLA. Great atmosphere, a little cramped but not uncomfortable at all, just a lot of hungry folks. We went again... More

We were trying to get into Newyoh's and they was packed, long wait and very noisy! So we asked around and were directed vaguely down the street a couple blocks to place that makes Po'Boys... You feel as though you are coming up to the back of someone's large house, through the back door. It looks s if they are... More

Best shrimp poboy I have ever had hands down! Hubby orders the surf and turf and like it but the shrimp got soggy. The best bet is to order the shrimp poboy and get an order of fries with the debris gravy. This way your shrimp will stay crispy and you still get a bit of the turf with your... More

I love this neighborhood place. No pretense, no hustle, just one of those places where you feel right on walking in. A-1 class New Orleans comfort food, and you can believe I will return again and again to the Parkway, right next to the Bayou St. John.

We ventured out here for Po' Boys and it was well worth it. Be prepared to battle a crowd and wait, it's totally worth it. Maybe avoid the lunch hour rush (which we did not). But we were able to grab bar seats and order food. We were there on a Monday which I think is the only day you... More

Parkway Bakery & Tavern came highly recommend as THE place for tasty, authentic po'boys so I thought I'd give it a go. My experience was a little mixed, to say the least. This restaurant is located in the middle of a neighborhood so it's on street parking only. A security guard was wandering around where people park so that makes... More
