I make annual trips to NOLA just to eat. This restaurant might have been the best I've tried so far. It was a great old school New Orleans meal, but also holds up against any of the newcomers. The blackened drum and the soft shell...More

We enjoyed K-Paul's - loved the appetizers (fried green tomatoes and Cajun egg rolls) and bread basket. I ordered the special (surf and turf) with the drum and the drum was excellent. The steak should have been medium rare, but it was crispy on one...More

Server was very attentive and kind. Food was good. I had the blackened drum and shared a shrimp, corn, and green tomato appetizer. The drum was good-if not a bit too salty. Shrimp appetizer was a bit "southwest seasoning flavored" - which I didn't quite...More

We went to K-Paul's off of a recommendation of a friend. Knew nothing about it or any restaurant in N.O. as this was our first time here. Was a little thrown by the ordering at the bar for lunch but no biggie. Service was excellent...More

The food was amazing, but what really made this exceptional was the service. We were there on our last night in New Orleans and this was our "splurge" meal with our family (3 kids, 13, 11, 8 years old). We got the "chef's table" in...More

Headed here with a group for a sort-of late dinner during a conference. No one was really in the mood for a big meal, so options were were limited. I had the shrimp etouffe, which was good. Others chose gumbo and salad or other appetizers....More

There are not enough words in the English language to describe this decadent food. The staff was absolutely wonderful, and makes you feel right at home. The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice, and you can see right into the kitchen where the chefs...More

The concierge at our hotel suggested K-Paul's for lunch. Apparently they only serve lunch a few days of the week. We were seated at a table and then asked to go to the bar to place our orders. Both couples split shrimp poboy. Not enough...More

I recognize that this is ground zero for blackened fish and Louisiana food, so I gave it four stars primarily on that. The food was good but I thought presentation could be better. I had the special of night which was blackened filet and drum...More

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living

Reservation for dinner is your safest option. However, if you are planning on having lunch at K-Paul's than I would just walk up.
