this is not touristy, but mostly local...but a lot of non-locals stop by. Old fashioned bar, great service, simple menu. Order a few cocktails, have bbq shrimp and key lime pie...go home happy

Came back to Pascal's after 20 years (when working a project at Tulane University) and wanted to introduce my wife, brother and his wife to hopefully the great food I had in the past. I was not disappointed. While the atmosphere was more subdued as it was a Monday night the food was not. Service was friendly and great and... More

Love it! Had the bbq shrimp the best ever. Friendly service, free dessert for my bday bread pudding was delicious. Great selection of wine and beer. Oysters are a must.

What can I say?!? This was the best meal I had in New Orleans. Oh course I got their signature barbecue shrimp. Now this is not ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar barbecue. This is gobs of butter and spices broiled to perfection. Mine was so good, I can't even remember what Big Daddy ate! They also serve typical Italian fare and... More

We have been enjoying dinner at manage,s since the early 1970s and have probably been there about 20 times even though we don't live in New Orleans. For us the barbecue shrimp my be the finest meal we have ever had and the bread pudding my be the best desert and the service is outstanding as well. Just be sure... More

Enjoyed our dinner here on Saturday evening which was a very busy night. Our meals were good but not over the top or outstanding. Service was good but again not extraordinary. The decor is average, the menu selections were not extensive, but basic focusing on seafood which all in party preferred. This is a fine restaurant, but not overly impressionable.

It had been years since I had been to Pascal's Manale and wanted to take my wife during our visit on the Wed. before Mardi Gras. In the past I had always taken the streetcar from the Quarter to Manales and thought to do the same this time (rookie mistake).. The streetcars were not running due to the parades. No... More

If you are looking for an authentic NOLA experience, go to Pascale Manale's and have some raw oysters and the BBQ shrimp. Both are fresh, delicious and a one of a kind NO meal.

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
