I should have known by the menu in advance that this is an old school menu that is pretty basic. The food was good not great. The service was very good. A jacket is required and they did have some up front of you forgot...More

Wasn't sure what to expect from this restaurant- I don't like to be disappointed... and I wasn't ... very welcoming ... which was nice... taken to our table.. and then in between ordering .. I spent time taking in the atmosphere and doing people watching...More

We dined for lunch at Galatoire's in late March and it was as good as ever. Most restaurants that have stood the test of time like this grand oldie suffer periods of ups and downs, but I've been dining at Galatoire's for 30 years and...More

After 5pm jackets are required, so have a late lunch. I started with escargot, done in the classic style. Also had the duck and andoullie gumbo. The stock is very rich. Absolutely delish. Also had the drum sauted with lemon caper Burr Blanc. Also finished...More

Sunday night. Sport coat required. Without reservations, expect a wait. You'll also be sitting on the first floor. With a reservation, you're on the quieter second floor. Food was average.

The atmosphere was reminiscent of a Parisian bistro - black and white tile floors, mirrored walls above the chair rail, fleur de lys motif and happy diners loudly talking to their parties. I debated about making a reservation, but when I called they said I...More

I enjoyed Galatoires despite some people saying it's just a food production factory. The service was quite friendly, drinks inexpensive - ,but that's everywhere in N.O. Food was exactly what I was looking for, creole French that I have never really had before. It was...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
