One of our favorite lunch spots in New Orleans. Terrific Middle Eastern food. Outdoor seating in view of the Carrollton streetcar line. They don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own wine—no corkage fee.

This place is a regular. Love the chicken Shawarma and also the Lebanese tea. The biggest complaint is that most of their chair cushions are split and ripped and tattered with exposed nasty foam touching your clothes, skin. It's a shame that the management does not recover those chairs. It's been this way for years and years. When we go... More

At noon on a Monday this place was full. Food was very good and delivered at a fair price. Staff was very attentive and business-like. Parking is a bit of an issue but not impossible; it is a large city, after all.

A wonderful meal! We ate outside, on the streetcar line on South Carrollton. Great place for great Greek food and people watching.

The best ? Yes, the best fresh food. Casual experience. Always busy but no reservations are required. In front of the streetcar line so it is easy access from the French Quarter.

Lebanon's Cafe is located on South Carrollton in the uptown area. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. If you want wine with your meal it is BYOB. The chicken kabobs are tender and juicy with a balanced flavor. The salmon is also cooked well with great seasoning. The hummus is good. Overall, this is a great lunch or dinner... More

Being part Lebanese myself, I am picky about how this food is prepared. GREAT! Lam kebab was perfectly seasoned, babaganoush was superb, made fresh. Iced tea had pine nuts floated on top of the glass. Nice touch.I have eaten here several times before. Bread was fresh and perfect. Authentic cuisine just like grandma used to make,

This was our favorite meal of our entire week long stay in New Orleans. WOW! So good. First of all, you can bring your own bottle of wine, which is amazing. I had the Chef Special ($14.99) of Hummus, baba ganuj, vegetarian grape leaves, tabouleh, falafel & labna. With the warm pita, it was delicious! My sister and dad had... More

We had a hard time finding a place that served vegetarian food for my daughter in NOLA. This restaurant filled the bill for her and the rest of us who loved the meat dishes. We sat outside on a balmy night and had great, friendly service. All of the dishes we ordered were great--I liked the pork chops, two of... More

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
