It was bustling Labor Day eve so service was a little slow. It has a pleasant, comfortable ambience. I was heartened that the waiter called out as two of his favorites my two selections from the menu on line. The cornbread crusted oysters had a...More

My wife and I joined our New Orleans family at Herbsaint to celebrate our oldest granddaughter's 12th birthday. We enjoyed superb food and service. We did a mix of small plates, entrees and then shared fantastic desserts. The pace of the service was outstanding.

This restaurant in the centre of the business district is busy especially during the lunch hour. We arrived at Herbsaint for a late lunch and found the restaurant packed. However the courteous staff did manage to find us a table for two. Checking the menu...More

My friend was in NO at a conference and we were staying at a nearby hotel, so I came here for a very nice solo lunch. I had the scallops which were very good, and the drinks were also very good. Highly recommend!

If you're going to eat in New Orleans, you're going to have a lot of decisions to make. Let me help you: add Herbsaint to your short list. It's not a cheap dive: it's an upscale, fairly sedate, grownup bistro in atmosphere (not party town...More

Herbsaint is near the hotel I stay in when visiting for work and is my new go to place. Dinner on a Friday night had the restaurant comfortably full and appropriately staffed. We were greeted and seated efficiently and with a smile. The wine list...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you

offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
