Only walked around the outside. It's absolutely gorgeous! Giant ferns hanging from the ceilings. Iron railing along the balconies. Beautiful colors on the exterior walls.

My wife and I ate here during our recent visit to New Orleans and it was very good. The service and food were excellent. A good choice when visiting the French Quarter and I would return.

Stopped here for lunch at noontime on a Sunday - surprisingly was immediately seated with a good table. Started with the house salad - very good with shaved cheese and a pomegranate vinaigrette over very fresh greens and sweet onions. For the main course, had...More

I was here for a business dinner and we were seated in our own room upstairs. This building is full of history and is very neat. Our servers were amazing and very attentive. Each time someone got up, a server was there within 5 seconds...More

Had a very nice lunch. Seafood Gumbo and shrimp with goat cheese crepes. Others in the party had the burger and blackened catfish. Each raved. Service was very good too.

We apparently picked a super busy evening because it detracted from an otherwise great meal. That's why we rated this 4 rather than 5. The hostess was very pleasant and found us a table a bit away from the main area. Highlights of the meal...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs
across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied
around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Pretty lax, I would recommend at least a collared shirt or a button down (no sneakers) for a man, something nice, dress, or classy jeans and top for a women, no flip flops.

We did not find it loud, but moderate in noise level - a very nice place and noise did not distract

Description
The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers New Orleans classics like Gumbo, BBQ Shrimp, Oysters "Muriel", Turtle soup, Fried Gulf Shrimp Po-boy, Crabmeat Imperial, Shrimp Remoulade & contemporary Creole cuisine like Pecan Crusted Drum & Wood Grilled Tuna while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks & appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer & The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic & checkered past. The Outer Séance addresses the New Orleans era of Storyville & when Muriel's Jackson Square was one of the French Quarter's best bordellos! The Inner Séance is the preferred domain of the resident ghost, Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan, & is the perfect spot for an intimate conversation & a drink amongst its plush surroundings.
