Came with some business colleagues/friends during a conference in New Orleans. The food was phenomenal. We ordered several appetizers. The gumbo was great, the lobster bruschetta was delicious, but the crab cake was out of this world. I ordered the scallops for my meal and was bummed to learn they were out of it. I chose sole instead and it... More

We actually just walked in on a Sunday night with no reservation. We had escargot in marrow butter (OMG so good), caesar salad, prime rib (melted in your mouth) and baked potato. There were 3 people waiting on our table and service was spot on. The restaurant reminded me of the old steak houses when I was a kid, heavy... More

Wonderful ambience with a friendly and welcoming staff. We had the château Briand for two and it was cooked to perfection! It was definitely too much food for two people however. The steak was very tender and tasted fine, it just lacked a little seasoning for me. The wine was fantastic as was their crème brûlée. I loved the decor,... More

While staying at the Astor Crown Plaza, we went out the back door and just down the street Dickie Brennan's steakhouse. The service was incredible. We had 5 different waiters taking our order. Everything we ordered came to the table pretty quickly. My buddy and I ordered prime rib 16 oz cut cooked medium rare. When our steaks came, they... More

This is more than eating, it's a dining event. The service, the food, the atmosphere, just incredible. We had the steak, but there is so much more to enjoy on the menu. For a unique treat, try the creole cream cheesecake, there is nothing like it. I am so looking forward to my next visit!

Wonderful ambiance, service and food. Would go back again, and again. Seasonal salad was great as was the creamed corn. 14 oz USDA Prime Rid Eye was cooked to perfection. We couldn't eat desert; too full.

The two of us went to Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse after a day of exploring cemeteries, art galleries and a dive bar or two. My wife and I were ready for a 'vacation splurge meal'. We started in the beautiful bar, as we arrived 10 minutes before they began dinner seating- Very comfortable lounge with a super attentive bartender. We went... More

We first dined here about 5 years ago on our first visit to New Orleans, and loved it. So I made a reservation to visit again while we were in town for our cruise. I'll say the same thing that I did 5 years ago. The service is amazing, and the food is pretty great too. We dined lightly this... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
