We ate there once, no complaints but not as wonderful as some of the other Brennan restaurants. With so many great restaurants in new Orleans, this one just did not stand out.

We chose this restaraunt to celebrate our 42nd anniversary. We were kinda dissapointed. While the service was great, the food was very average. It was on the expensive side (which we expected) and it should have been better for the price paid. The atmosphere was...More

Wow. My wife and I went here for dinner on a Saturday evening, and could not have been more disappointed. The service was a bit overpowering, but friendly from Faith and Catherine. Catherine made some nice wine suggestions for us. I ordered the filet and...More

Had heard about this place for years so we finally tried it. Absolutely a great experience. Best Martini I have had in a very long time. Rib Eye was delicious, service was excellent and atmosphere wonderful. You can bet we will return.

Dickie Brennan's is a definite "do not miss" if you love steak with a Creole touch. The restaurant has a classic steakhouse atmosphere and the service is impeccable. One of their specialties is their petite filet served with flash fried oysters, Brabant potatoes topped with...More

While we were temporarily forced to evacuate our FL home due to the Irma hurricane, we encountered great human beings. At Dickie we were pleasantly susprised after enjoying perfectly cooked steaks along with crisply freshly baked bread and freshly prepared cesar salads along with excellent...More

We ate here during our Hurricane Irma Evacuation. The restaurant was highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. The ambiance was amazing, and we loved the entertainment. There was a singing trio that made the room a happy place. The food was amazing from the...More

I was in NOLA for the first time and dying to try an authentic blackened Cajun steak. Dickie Brennan's came highly recommended. We had no issues getting a reservation on a Friday night, and at 7:00pm it was early enough to avoid massive French Quarter...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be

The restaurant you are thinking of That is connected to the Astor Crowne Plaza is Bourbon House, which is our sister restaurant. We are a couple doors down at 716 Iberville so only a short walk from the Astor.

This restaurant is mainly a steak house. They do offer several seafood dishes and salads, but the majority of dishes contain meat.

I've only eaten there at night. It's not so formal but I wouldn't wear super-casual attire to eat here.
