Small space but the food smells fill it up beautifully. Chicken parm and chicken fettuccini Alfredo were delicious. The wait was long. Stay on the host/ess. Tables go unclaimed, people are,not rushed out of their seats. Great food worth the wait just be aware.

This was a nice out of the way little restaurant at the end of Royal Street in a quiet neighborhood. Friendly service and tasty food. We tried the spaghetti and lasagna with salads and garlic bread. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. Great place for a couples meal.

In the heart of the Quarter on Royal, in a very quiet neighborhood, is Mona Lisa. This store front is a very quaint local restaurant with good food frequented by locals. I usually get the pizza, and it is the bomb. I have never had a bad experience there. I have also had fetuccine alfredo with chicken, and it was... More

Cute as a button, old-time cozy restaurant. Ate here twice during our recent vacation and it pains me to say that neither meal was memorable (neither pizza nor sub). Both used the same dough and it seemed very sweet to me.... The meatball sub would have rocked on NOLA French bread!!! Should have had pasta!

We went on a Friday night....Easter weekend. It was packed so we waited outside with a few other couples for a table. Took about 15 minutes. Sure, the wait was a little longer for our food and drinks than the first time but the poor waitress was doing her very best to keep up with a very packed restaurant. Food... More

I ordered a small pizza and was told it would take 20 minutes. 35 minutes later, it still had not arrived. No apology. Sorry, list my business.

You wouldn't expect to find good Italian but we did. The garlic bread is delicious. My husband had the veal parm but beware that the marinara sauce is a bit spicy. The seafood pasta was tasty but a bit greasy.

I've been several times and never had a bad meal. The pizza is the best, but even more I love the desserts. The atmosphere is really nice with soft lighting, and the staff has always been pleasant and attentive. I would definitely recommend it. It will get you off the beaten path (in a safe way), and is a good... More

I ordered the alfredo pasta and was a little surprised to find pepper seeds in my dish, the menu didn't list anything about it being spicy. My fiancé got the spicy creole pasta and said it made his face burn, but he said it was excellent. The décor is entertaining to say the least and if you're looking for some... More

Wife and I wanted some eggplant parm so we decided to check out Mona Lisa. There are Mona Lisa portraits all over the place which I greatly enjoyed! We decided to split the parm and good thing because the portion was HUGE! Side of bread sticks too and we were in good shape.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
