I have traveled the world and eaten some seriously phenomenal meals but I have to say that the jazz brunch at Commander's Palace has to rank in my top 5 favorite meal experiences. Maybe it was the classic New Orleans cuisine that I adore so...More

We went for Sunday brunch (make a reservation!) during a girls' weekend. Fine dining at its best. Food is off the chart, and so is the service. Jonathan made us feel like the only people in the restaurant. There were three in our party, and...More

My husband and I, along with our adult sons and their wives, enjoyed lunch on our recent trip to NOLA. The food was amazing! So were the 25 cent martinis!!! Make sure to save room for dessert! Well worth the price!!

Assuming you like a great food experience - our Sunday Brunch visit to Commanders Palace is better described as a culinary adventure. Our service was provided by a well trained, professional staff, from beginning to end. The jazz band trio created an atmosphere I can...More

Went here for Father's Day Brunch with family. The dining rooms were adorned with colorful balloons for the occasion, and the clientele, because of the dress code and hot summer month, wore seersucker suits and colorful dresses. This combined with the sharply dressed waitstaff, mostly...More

Commander's Palace was the highlight of my trip. We were at the cemetery, and it was hot so I was a bit underdressed (they have a dress code of no shorts), but they sat us in the beautiful Garden Room for lunch. It did not...More

We have been dining at Commander’s Palace for over 45 years, and over 25 times, in those years. I think that our first visit was in 1969, for my, now wife’s birthday. For the next eleven years, I think that we celebrated her birthday, every...More

I chose this restaurant based on the history and the reviews. We were sadly disappointed. I guess I was expecting a very upscale traditional restaurant and that was not what we experienced. The first disappointment was the dress code. We were told, at multiple points,...More

Absolutely. Sandals are fine. The website says that men should wear jackets. That is really not necessary, as long as the man wears a button down shirt. Women were wearing nice casual clothing when we were there on a... More

Commander's Palace is in a residential neighborhood. It is in the Garden District, an upscale area. CP has valet parking or some people just park on the street. I have always taken a cab or Uber.
