The food was amazing, but you definitely don't feel like you are in New Orleans anymore. It is very high end and night and day from Bourbon Street. Delicious meal and great cocktails!

Wonderful dinner from start to finish. We both had an amazing fresh thick slice of halibut topped with scallops. Amazing combination. Dessert was a wonderful bread pudding. Coffee was perfect after our dinner. Service was so good. Attentive but not overbearing. The atmosphere is set up for a romantic dinner and good conversation. We made reservations and had a wonderful... More
We tripped into GW Fins by accident and had no idea it had such a high ranking until we were seated at the bar. We decided to have a night of tapas right at the bar and weren't disappointed. This staff gets how to put the word "experience" into dining. The bar staff works like crazy and still manages to... More
Stopped into GW Fins for my first meal in New Orleans as it was right around the corner from my hotel, and was lucky enough to be seated straight away at the bar (full menu) even though it was quite crowded. The bartender was friendly and attentive, and the food came very quickly - it was good, but not amazing.... More
It is unfortunate for Irene's Cuisine and Dragos' (both very highly rated) that I didn't write their reviews until after we ate at GW Fins. Ate here with my wife recently and can see why this is one of the top rated restaurants in town. It was a very nice meal, experience and would recommend to others.
G.W. Fins was just what my husband and I needed after a long day of sight seeing! This upscale restaurant was located just steps away from Bourbon Street. The sizzling oysters are AMAZING! Wait staff was very attentive and could perfectly describe each item on the menu.

We reserve a booth, and have always been accommodated. The menu is a fish lovers delight, featuring fresh fish served a variety of ways. When... More

Is this the kind of place where one would be OK eating at the bar alone? Don't want to sit at a table when I'm traveling for business...
