Excellent food and service at this restaurant, Emeril's first restaurant, located in the Warehouse District. Best seats in the house are near the kitchen, to see all the action in the food prep area.

My family had a special dinner at Emeril's Restaurant in New Orleans and it was Fantastic! We had soft shell crab, wine and dessert. The atmosphere was very nice and the Waite staff was awesome! If you are spending time in the warehouse district definitely have dinner there.

I went with my sister on her first visit to New Orleans. The best part was the service and staff. However that did not justify the food. We ordered the lobster skewer appetizer on advice from the waitress. The lobster was overcooked and tough. The appearance was not appetizing (see photo). For lunch she ordered the crawfish burrito that looked... More

While I'm not sure this is "The best experience ever" or "Amazing", it is certainly good and lives in the space of the higher-quality NOLA restaurant experience. It is definitely good service - French-style serving of all at the table receiving their plates simultaneously, lots of attention to water glasses, drinks, plate clearing, etc. It was a little disappointing then... we made reservation for a Saturday evening. We were showed to our table right away, we both had a waiter pulling our seat out and putting the napkin on our lap. This was the start of an amazing evening. The head waiter explained the menu to us and we had the most flavorful dish from appetizer all the way to... More

My husband and I visited for dinner for our honeymoon while in New Orleans. This place exceeded my expectations on food and service. We had the shrimp and mussels for starters and the duo of beef and pork chop for mains and the banana creme pie and chocolate Soufflé for dessert. All of these were amazing.

Fabulous, Fabulous, Fabulous! Need I say more. I never been to a restaurant where they color coordinate your napkin so it doesn't leave lint. If they do that, you can understand why this is an excellent meal from start to finish. the only way to understand this, is to eat there. Amazing.

Let me start with the service, which is attentive and close to perfect. Amazing menu, good choices for children. Wine list was incredible! The gumbo was the best I've ever had.

This is a food lover's dream! I made reservations 2 months in advance. Everything about this meal was spectacular! The service was seamless- everyone works together to make sure your glass is never empty. The food is perfect - I had the swordfish and you could taste the freshness! Dessert was so good that we refused to share with each... More

Opened in 1990 by Chef Emeril Lagasse in New Orleans, Emeril's Restaurant serves his signature style of "New New Orleans" cuisine, featuring the best local and regional seasonal ingredients. Nestled in a renovated pharmacy warehouse on Tchoupitoulas Street in the heart of the city's Warehouse District, Emeril's interior features rustic exposed brick and glass walls flanking one side of the main dining room, with plaster-lathe wood forming a wine wall on the other. Guests may enjoy watching the action in the kitchen while enjoying a meal at the chef's Food Bar.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
