Visited this place on a Monday night to meet for business. The entire group sat on the patio and was able to have a conversation without distraction. Wait staff was very efficient and professional. Oysters, crawfish bread, and fish dishes were wonderfully seasoned. Combined with Oyster Bay white wine, the whole evening was topped off by a lovely sunset over... More

This is one of my other favorite seafood places. Seating here is awesome, you get the opportunity to look out and see Lake Ponchatrain. The food was fabulous, everything we had was just great. Highly recommend going here.

The food was decidedly average. The cocktails were ok but overly strong. Was really looking forward to eating here but we were very disappointed. Perhaps the good reputation is has means that they don't need to try too hard. The reputation wont last long! Brisbi's down the road was much better.

I live about an hour or so away from this Landry's but anytime I can get to it, I do. Every time we have out-of-town guests, we invite them to join us here. The food is excellent, the views are great, and as I've said in other reviews, I really enjoy outdoor seating! Here's the other thing --- we joined... More

We had a late lunch on Easter Sunday when the restaurant was extremely busy and crowded. Food was excellent but unfortunately mine was luke warm at best. Green beans were raw, and the shrimp seemed overcooked (tough.) Lesson learned - don't go there when they are busy.

We were visitors, but tired of the French Quarter, so drove out through City Park to the lakefront. There was an after work sailboat race out of the Yacht Club starting, and it was a great evening so we decided to eat on the deck at Landry's. We did this knowing that the fish was not going to be as... More

This is a place to sit down relax and enjoy a great meal, it could be a snack or full set. The view is tremendous with the marina, the causeway over the lake and the boats in and out into the lake. The menu is complete and you can have steak as well as seafood prepared with that southern touch.... More

This was our first time eating at Landry's. We were very disappointed. The only good thing was we were seated pretty fast and were seated outside like we asked. The view of the lake was great. After that it was pretty much downhill. The seafood gumbo did not even taste like gumbo. We are from New Orleans so we know... More

We have been to this restaurant every time we visit New Orleans. The food is fresh, plentiful and amazing!! The view from the balcony overlooks Lake Pontchartrain and we sat and watched the sail boat races, boats and enjoyed a gorgeous day! Staff is exceptional and friendly.

Staying in Lakeview

Neighbourhood Profile
Lakeview
Lakeview extends inland from the shores of Lake Pontchartrain with much of the area reserved for family-friendly City Park. Home to the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Besthoff Sculpture Garden, Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, and the city’s own lush Botanical Gardens, City Park is a New Orleans gem and the perfect spot for outdoor fun with as much of a mix of culture and/or amusement as you would like. Beyond City Park more great excuses to stay outside beckon, whether on land or by boat. Developed a good deal later than most other New Orleans neighborhoods, Lakeview has a distinctively different look and feel compared to other parts of the city. Fans of mid century modern design and contemporary architecture particularly enjoy leisurely drives around the residential streets of Lake Vista, Park Island and along Lakeshore Drive.
