After being turned away by two restaurants for dress code reasons (really Bourbon St.?), we stumbled upon the best restaurant we've eaten at in the Quarter. Staff was awesome, food was freaking amazing (I don't drink, so trust me it's good), and the price was unbelievable. The blackened shrimp poboy is the BEST poboy I've ever had, and I'm a... More

This is a terrific restaurant with many local Cajun and seafood dishes. Located on Bourbon Street about two blocks from Canal Street, this casual establishment serves up tasty catfish platters. The portions are huge, so come hungry!

Very good place. It's a casual place (in a good way). We spent a long weekend and were looking for a casual place near bourbon street after going to some more upscale restaurants. Food was excellent, and the staff was awesome. Our server even recommended some other restaurants to visit while we were there. Definitely recommended.

This place is located right on Bourbon, right in the mix of things. We were able to sit on the balcony, to eat and people watch. Our waitress was very nice and helpful to us! I ordered the fried shrimp platter which came with jalapeño hushpuppies and French fries. They give you a lot of food for a decent price!... More

Walking down Bourbon St. we stopped to view the menu here and saw several things we would like to try. My husband decided on the gumbo and I tried the Grilled Redfish with a crawfish mushroom cream sauce, roasted garlic mashed potatoes and collard greens. It was delicious. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. We were seated in the... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
