Happened to be staying at the adjoining hotel and went for breakfast on a friends suggestion. Bottomless Mimosas were a big hit with our whole crew. Our server Charlotte took excellent care of us all. She was a gem! Food was great but a little pricey. The Mimosa special will keep me coming back.

I walked in and asked for a table for one. I was immediately told that I would have to be seated at the bar. I didn't really want to dine at the bar, but I said "ok." As I was taking off my coat, the bartender come over and yells "you only have 30 minutes here! We have a large... More

With all the places in New Orleans, it is a matter of taste and location. It is in a good location- close to Canal and Bourbon but far enough away to avoid the big crowds. Food is good New Orleans. Prices are reasonable. Has a bar and serves breakfast, lunch and diner.

Had reservation for 8 and called 2 hrs prior to see if we could move up the time and was told they had to cancel my reservation because that had a party of 200 coming in. I asked what would have happened if we got to the restaurant and was told we would have just told you that we cancelled... More

This was our last opportunity to enjoy the wonderful food in the French Quarter and it wasn't a disappointment. Our server, Jeffrey, was friendly and attentive. Food was absolutely delicious. Even though there is a sports bar on one side, it is also welcoming to families with small children on the other side.

... and the Cajun Burger is also very good. I had lunch at Huck Finn's three times while in New Orleans for a meeting.

Had lunch here it was pretty darn good. Came back at dinner time to get a crab cake to go and "Kevin" the bartender was pretty rude and I am sorry to say I didn't leave a tip because he never game me my change for the Togo order. Lunch was nice and friendly, evening in the slow bar....well the... More

Stopped for business lunch Staff where attentive and nice, beer was cold and always plentiful. Order a Cajun Po-Boy at waiters recommendation, it was amazing, the gator sausage was so flavorful and tender! Deffinatley would come back!

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel concierge. It was perfect for our two families travelling together with our kids ranging from 8-15 years old. The restaurant has a family feel and offers a good variety of options on the menu. The alligator appetizer was a hit as well as the parade that went by the restaurant at dinner time... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
