We were with a group made up of close to 40 kids and adults. They seated us in the front room of the restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and speedy. The blackened gator, chicken toulouse, and bread pudding was yummy! Plan to eat here again when come to NOLA.

Best crabcake eggs benedict EVER!! Also, go see Cagney at the bar, she will make you the best hurricane with real juice, not the powdered mix those other tourist traps use. Great food, friendly service, this place is a local favorite and now my favorite!!

Was recommend this place by the local tour office. The food and service here was fantastic! You can walk right past it if you are not looking. I had a trio of the local food, the beer selection was great. We asked if they offer a Military discount and they did ! I highly recommend this place and if I... More

Went for dinner and sat up at the bar. Our bartender John was very friendly and helpful in making recommendations. The Boudin balls and the Crab Au Gratin was fantastic! Thanks John! We ended up coming back next morning for breakfast. The Crabcake Benedict was delish! Huck Finn's will become a must-go-to place each time we are in New Orleans.

I like to think that my expectations aren't too lofty but having to wait for over 30 minutes after being seating before I got a water or anything was ridiculous. It's not like they didn't see me because I watched three severs discuss (about a table away from me ) who was supposed to be my server. Apparently nothing was... More

It was connected to my hotel, but not part of it. Sounds strange. The bar was great typical high price for everything. Bar staff was great. Never really sat a table and ate. Did have some appetizers . Not bad could have been better. Old New Orleans style place, cloth silver, brick walls. My biggest complaint was I ordered some... More

Breakfast is breakfast, until you find a place like this. I had a breakfast burger- beef, sausage, lettuce, tomatoes, special sauce- Wow! Best I ever had! A great combination that I will try and replicate at home!

My friends and I had breakfast here. The pancakes and pain perdu were excellent. The service was good. We had one problem. We selected this restaurant because we especially wanted fresh fruit for breakfast. After placing our orders and while drinking our beverages, the server returned and told us they were out of fruit. This was a big surprise because... More

We stopped here on our way to a walking tour it was just down the street from our hotel. The service was great but the food was average. I had the Pain Perdu which is cajun french toast. it was too soggy for my taste. The service was quick.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
