This is one of the best Italian places we have ever eaten! There is not a dish here that you will go wrong with. The wait staff is very courteous and helpful. This is a definite must do!

We stumbled upon this restaurant today after trying two other spots that happened to be closed on Sunday's. We got so lucky as the food here is amazing!!! We asked our nice waiter for suggestions...preferring savory over sweet brunch options. We decided on the shrimp and grits and a dish that consists of two eggs, potatoes, and a gigantic meatball.... As foodies, my husband and I were blown away by the food at Red Gravy. We've raved out the cannoli pancakes since April 2014! It looks like a hole in the wall, and it is!, but don't let that fool you- it is all delicious! We've recommended this restaurant to every friend who has gone to New Orleans since we've... More

The staff was very accommodating for our large group. The menu has an Italian bent (hence the name Red Gravy), even at breakfast. We enjoyed our meal, but would rather return for lunch or dinner. Very small place, but they fit us in. Yes, we will be back.

Italian restaurant for breakfast, brunch, lunch. We had a wonderful breakfast here, tasty, fresh, cheesy goodness, which give you the strenght to keep going exploring the city all day. They have fresh baked goods, lot of nice variety egg meals, wonderful hot chocolate and eye opener morning coctails. The place is not too big with a very relaxing atmosphere and... More

My husband picked this and he had a turkey po boy which was huge and extremely tasty, I couldn't get my head round something like that for breakfast so opted for the waffles which were delicious.top marks, staff lovely and efficient! Only minor negative was that if felt $13 for my waffles was a bit expensive!

We ate lunch at Red Gravy at 125 Camp St, New Orleans, LA 70130. This is a tiny, hidden gem, an authentic Italian downtown restaurant! The meatballs are legendary, the entrees and pasta and desserts were so yummy, we truly enjoyed every minute! And the wait staff made us feel so very special, we know that we'll be back the... More

I had a long wait outside the day before Halloween due to all the tourists but god was it worth the wait! We had 1 of almost everything an we were not disappointed. I'm not normally a fan of meatballs especially for breakfast but they were phenomenal! I came back two days later just for them and the actual famous... More

Bright and cheereful spot at the edge of the CBD, just across from the French Quarter. Red Gravy is a dedicated Farm to Table restaurant, sourcing most of our ingredients from local farmers, fishers and bakers. Currently listed as the #1 Brunch spot in New Orleans by OpenTable! Our brunch menu is comprised of traditional breakfast items, traditional Italian specialties like our handmade pasta and famous homemade meatballs, typical northern New Jersey/New York dishes and local, New Orleans favorites. Full service bar, cappuccino and espresso available. Come and eat, I always make too much!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
