This was the worst dinner I have ever had. I had to look for anything decent nearby and ended up at Day dog across the street. I ordered the creole pie and it was terrible. Water down and nothing inside.

Music was good. Small space with cramped tables. The creole pot pie was mostly gravy, a few nuggets of meat - chicken shrimp & sausage, no vegetables. Fish tacos were flavorless. Table next to us ordered the French fries which looked great. Wanted to ask...More

This is a great hole-in-the-wall restaurant with tasty food served to your table as you listen to really quality live jazz right with you. It wasn't wimpy muzack, it was real jazz good to listen to while you eat. You better be hungry if you...More

Three Muses was my absolute favourite stop of everywhere we went in New Orleans. The jazz band were fantastic and there was even a gentleman playing the washboard for part of it! Not something you see everyday! The atmosphere is small and cozy with some...More

The jazz here was perfect for us old timers in the middle of Frenchman Street. The food when we stuck to Southern foods was excellent (ie fish tacos). The bulgoki bowl was a stretch for them. Prepare for a wait. But once you check in...More

Food: • Marinated olives - SO good. I've never seen bright red olives before, but they were amazing! Enough for 4 to share and a very inexpensive appetizer. • Pork belly was AMAZING. It was crispy in the right places and super tender everywhere else....More

Go here if you want to have a fantastic cocktail, great bite to eat and perhaps more importantly look good to a bunch of sleep-deprived parents who are on their first holiday away from the kids in 3 years! Sophia Coppola told us about this...More

This is a great spot. I had the stuffed dates and the kale salad, and both were delicious! Everything also arrived quickly. The staff were great - everyone was talkative and friendly without being overbearing at all. There was a jazz pianist who was very...More

Very enjoyable experience between dinner and the entertainment. We didn't have a reservation on Thursday evening and were told by Charlina there would be a thirty minute wait. Decided to head down the block for a drink and returned to be seated just a few...More

This is a cozy restaurant that has a live band playing. The menu selection is very good and our table service was efficient. The food was excellent and together with the music, made for a wonderful dining experience.

Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward,
the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely
residential. Of course, folks around here love to go
out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere
in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the
festivities, well then so much the better! Home to
some of the most revered live music venues in New
Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining

I went with my teenagers. I wouldn't recommend taking children much younger than that, even in the late afternoon.

yes, you can order food at the bar. but the space is limited, unless you get a spot at the other end of the bar (fit for 2 person), that I think is the prime spot.
