It's location in a side alley makes it a pretty hassle free experience to get in and get a table once you've located it. It's fast and we experienced good service. Too bad the food is just okay. Did not get to see the underlying hype. The presentation was top notch though so perhaps we just got unlucky. I had... More

Went 2 weeks ago and everything was still great. Acadian country breakfast is always really good and makes you feel like your thorax will explode when you are done. Those sweet potato biscuits with pepper jelly and cane syrup is all I need, but my fat body wants the entire Acadian Country Breakfast!

Spend a few bucks more and you can have much more well executed food. The food was plenty good, but given that the space was *very* rustic (and poorly ventilated) and that a glass wine was well north of ten bucks, we would have fared better elsewhere.

Wonderful food! Refreshing in a town full of fried food! My husband had the Cuban luau sandwich; he loved it. I had the green goddess wedge salad and the soup of the day which was dairy free, creamy, and delicious!!! This hole in the wall restaurant was a hidden gem!

Strolling down Exchange Alley one evening we passed by and decided to return for a meal during our stay in NOLA. Since we love locally sourced, fresh ingredients, this restaurant fit the bill. The seating is limited and a very causal atmosphere. It was perfect for us. We will be returning.

I'm vegetarian and my g/f is not. We can both eat here and still have great food. Starting the day with Sweet Potato Biscuits is a MUST! if only I could take a dozen (warm) home with me! Different flavors for both the carnivore and the vegetarian are much better than most restaurants providing a "salad" for us non-meateaters. In... More

The Green Goddess has something to eat on their menu for everyone no matter the dietary restriction. With that said, the food has somewhat deteriorated over the past few years, but they still produce some decent casual fare with a defining assortment to chose from.

We enjoyed our first meal so much we went back for a second! Both times it was delicious and it was one of the few places my husband (who has numerous food allergies) could eat. It's not just for people on restricted diets though. I highly recommend it for anyone.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
