We showed up on a Friday around 2:15PM without reservations, and the hostess said they couldn't seat our party of 8 until 4:30 at the earliest. Granted, it's at the Waldorf, so maybe they legitimately had other reservations, but we stuck around a bit and said we could do 4 and 4. After some persuasion, we were seated (but split... More

The food was delicious! However the pasta portions seemed on the small side. The pizza was huge! Everything was very good though. It did take a long time for the food to come out. But everything was incredible otherwise.

We were staying a block away and tried to get in for dinner on a Saturday night without success. So when we noticed they have a happy hour each day from 2-5, we stopped by for half price pizza and wine by the glass. What a deal! The place was not that crowded. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. We... More

I think that my expectations were just too high. While I thought the food was very good, it was not exceptional or unique. I did go for lunch, which could be part of the problem. Charging $20 for a large head of cauliflower that was slightly seasoned and slightly under cooked, is ridiculous. The pizza was really good and our... More

I ate here 4 times on my trip to New Orleans. They have a happy hour 2-5, half off wine, drinks and pizza. I had a phenomenal clam pizza and also you must try the fried kale salad in a light chickpea batter with shaved onions, pinenuts and lightly dressed in a light vinaigrette. They also have house made salumis... More

I had one hour between meetings on a very busy Sunday afternoon. Made reservations, (recommended), and was seated and served promptly. Food was excellent and the service and wine selection very good. Would love to eat there again.

We are from the Midwest. Perhaps that puts us in a different approach to Italian food, but I have never had spaghetti that was so tough that you had to chew and chew them to swallow. Yuck. Won't go back. Oh - cold drinking water isn't a reality either.

I love this place so much. It's in a beautiful hotel, and if you're lucky, you will see a wedding parade come strolling through the lobby while you're eating. The food, wine, and service are all pretty fantastic. I love the decor and ambiance, and have not had a bad here. I always come during happy hour, because it is... More

Such a lovely place off the beaten track. In a city full of seafood it was nice to find some pizza, and what a pizza it was! Great food and lovely staff. Will definitely be back on my next visit

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
