I live next door and probably eat Guys @ least 1x/week. Food is delicious and kitchen staff are genuine as it gets. Obviously famous for Po boys but it's the pralines that get me every time! Cash only spot but there is an ATM inside.

My family all met in New Orleans from different parts of the US and found this place through online search as driving through garden district. This place makes your heart hurt when you live out of state and can't eat here often. They give you...More
Guy's is a 5 table with superior food. Roast Beef or Shrimp po-boy or maybe a sausage and crawfish po-boy which was the special the day my family ate. Service was quick and the half or whole po-boy was generous portions. This is a very...More
There is nothing pretentious about Guy's. It is what it is. A poboy dive with a menu dedicated to the usual offerings. Even though it looks a bit fancier since the remodel after a car crashed through the front it still has that neighborhood charm....More

This place isn't big and it isn't conveniently located for most tourists. However, the trip is absolutely worth it for the outstanding shrimp po-boy. Take someone with you, one large sandwich will easily serve two.
Brought by a local. My po-boy was very bland and tasteless. I was told, after the fact, that it wasn't a true NOLA classic, that l shouldn't have ordered it. Then why was it prominently featured on the menu?? Service was slow and because of...More
First things first: I've never had a po-boy before, so I appreciate that I'm no expert. However, Guy's was recommended to me by several people who seemed to know what they're talking about, so off I went. I visited shortly after it opened and I...More
Delicious! Had the 1/2 roast beef and it was amazing. Could hardly eat the whole thing! Others had the shrimp and it had shrimp falling off the sides of the sandwich. Place is very small and limited seating. They do not serve beer but do...More
