Cant beat the groupon right now--30$ for 60$. We had a great salad and the seafood platter. Waitress was full of southern charm. Enjoyed live music while we ate. Seating outside is covered so you may enjoy even in the rain.

Average food. Had the taste of New Orleans and didnt taste any heat. Crawfish etouffle was the best part of the 3 options on the plate.

We came here to take the ferry to Algiers, which was unaccountably out of service. We decided to eat lunch at Crazy Lobster, the exterior was enticing and there was a 3 man band playing good music. We enjoyed the experience, but I don't remember the mennu much. So it wasn't outstanding, but ok for a tourist visit.

Had lunch outside, weather was great, watching ships pass. Had fish tacos that were very good. Crab cakes for starters, also awesome. Our waiter was Blue and he was fantastic. Very attentive and knew the menu. Thanks Blue for great service. We happen to be there during an event and had no problem getting a table or service.

Very friendly staff, good fresh food creole style. We had a perfect Mahi Sandwich and delicate Shrimps. We loved the live music (but a little bit too loud for dinner). and this Restaurant was much much better than the New Orleans Creole Cookery on Toulouse.

We ate lunch here on a quiet weekday. We were pointed toward a table with a good view of the water and then waited for our server. And waited. Finally one wandered over and asked if we'd been helped. When we said "no", she said, "I guess I can help you." She was friendly enough but spent most of the... More

Hi Scott and Janelle - While we are happy to hear you enjoyed the location and that your fish was tasty, we are extremely disappointed to read about the service you recently experienced at our restaurant. Slow and inattentive service, such as the one you described, is never something we want our guests to receive. We aim to provide all... More

I had the creole shrimp and my friend had the Cajun pasta. Both of us enjoyed our meal. You are near the river so you have a nice view. I found it a bit pricey for what it was. The staff was very slow. However being tourists we didn't take the extra food and the asked if we would be... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
