We bought some creamy original pralines and some turtles for work colleagues back home. They were a little pricey but I am sure they'll be appreciated. I was given a sample as I headed out and it was very good!

Sampled a lot of pralines in NOLA and hands down, these are the best. They are a little pricy, but they shrink wrap the box for you!

Perhaps not the most attractive shop front, but the inside is very different; the first thing that hits you is the smell. The air is so sweet. There's a good selection of different pralines to choose from, in addition to coated Oreos, marshmallows, fudge and ice cream. Pre-made presentation boxes are available to buy, but if you prefer to make... More

Looking for something sweet? Try a chocolate Praline cookie, but if you love coconut, these cookies are so good!!! About 2.50 a piece, worth to the last piece of it.

Some very yummy treats. it's not the most fancy shop, but the pralines were good, and you can watch them while they make them. It was clean and the service was friendly. The usual high priced treats.

I visited Southern CandyMakers Twice during my visit to Nola. The customer service is awesome. The pralines, their ice creams and the brittles so good. Prices are very fair and the quality of the products sensational. If you are interested in trying pralines and southern candy, or would like to make a gift to someone special, you should stop by... I love everything in the menu, they make you taste everything. You can buy by half dozen to lbs, they accept Credit cards. All Staff are sweet and patient, they answer questions you might have before purchasing and can ship anywhere in the world.

I went there based on Tripadvisor reviews. I usually have a good experience by doing so. This time, I am really disappointed! The candies are really expensive and the taste was nothing else than a lot of suger! Don't waste your money and time.

Come early for best selection of types of pralines. Hand out samples are generous. Expensive but worth it if you like these things. I do.....

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
