You have to go and you have to get the creole cream cheese flavor. The other flavors we tried were also great, but this one was different and awesome! I will be back here again the next time I am in town.

Ice cream flavor are stunning. Never imagined the flavor combinations and they are so good. Parking is a little slim but can park around the corner. Plenty of seating inside and normally a line. Take cash they don't take cards.

The ice cream here is good (the service is very so-so) and they have several very interesting flavors. The highlight is grabbing a tasty snack en route to the Garden District on the streetcar. The Cookie Monster was our family's favorite.

My son, who was born right before Katrina, has his very first ice cream here and summed it up well - "I LIKE ice cream!" The salted caramel and creole cream cheese are two of my favorite flavors, but there's a lot of great choices!

Always a solid choice for good ice cream. There are always new/unique flavors to try and you can have a little bit of each in a mini scoop sampler. Be aware - cash only and parking is in the surrounding neighborhood.

The Creole Creamery has a wide variety of ice cream flavors to please anyone. They are a cash only business. I usually get a baby scoop and it is still a large and satisfying portion. They offer milkshakes and banana splits as well. There is usually a line in the evening.

I got the 6 scoop sample. The best were Magnolia flower, chef's chocolate, oreo, the derbege, champagne and green pint. Some flavors are seasonal.

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
