Small eclectic French menu. Very friendly staff. No rush. Sit back and enjoy the uniqueness of the setting.

Luckily, the problem hasn't been the food. The menu isn't extensive, but what they do have is great. I have been going here for over nine years and I now find myself passing it instead of stopping because the service. I tell you the nail in the coffin recently, but prior to this, I had noticed the service starting to... More
The menu seems fairly straightforward and tight, but don't be fooled. Even their burger is much more than the sum of its parts. How they manage to pack so much flavor into their entrees and side dishes is beyond me. And the beers here are not just beer. Try their top selling Belgian offering from the tap (don't remember what... More
Love the Smoked Salmon BLT and Apple Swiss sandwiches. My husband and I order these sandwiches and split them. We Drive from Beaver Dam, WI just to have these from time to time. Please don't ever remove these items from your menu! Great Atmosphere as well.
A huge beer selection, and all beers that are off the beaten path which is refreshing. A very diverse menu, from simple sandwiches to interesting pasta dishes (I had radish fettuccine). All in all a good experience. Will be there again.
Get together before the game. 250 beers await you, along with a nice menu of food. Great Belgian beers, charcuterie plates and burgers. Had their squash soup-very good. Frites with or without truffle oil. Seating for about 100 at bar and tables. Upscale decor for a bar restaurant. On street parking. Attentive staff.
Came to Madison for a Badger game. Had some time to kill before the game so we decided to get a bite to eat. Was surprised more people were not there. The place seemed nice enough, we were seated immediately. I had the soup and half sandwich (potato/corn chowder, monsiuer croquette). Soup had a nice flavor to it, the sandwich... More
We stumble upon this place about 11pm after a Badger game to get out of the rain. They have a wonderful mix of beers on tap and bottle. Large bar area. Small eating area. The staff were nice. Odd that last call was at 1130pm when the bar was packed.
I had the pleasure of finally eating at Brasserie V this past weekend. They do not accept reservations but the bar is spacious and we were able to order appetizers while we waited for our table. The beer selection was outstanding and the wine was good. Food and ambiance was great! I ordered the pork chop and it was delicious.... More
Monroe St is the place to go in Madison if you want good food. This place not only serves unique dishes but they have the best beer menu in the state. I have tried the V Burger, Mussels and Croque-monsieur and all were delicious.
