We love Sardine. Whether for drinks at happy hour, lunch or dinner - the service and experience is worth the visit. The food is always great, we especially enjoy the oysters and seared salmon. It's a nice casual upscale place that is different in a good way from most other Madison places.

We picked this place for Brunch based on TripAdvisor reviews and so happy we did. The food was fantastic, my wife had the salmon sandwich, friends had an omelette with goat cheese and I had the fish cakes. Everything tasted great, great ambiance and easy parking. We would go back.

Visited Sardine recently for a birthday celebration. The food was excellent, the waitstaff friendly and helpful, and the vibe was cool, yet comfortable. A return visit will be on the list on our next trip to Madison.

We've been here twice in the recent past. We were so pleased. First visit was to celebrate a family birthday. The second for a late Sunday brunch. For the birthday, porkchop, pasta , a salad and chicken. I tasted everything. Everything was perfect. Good drinks and wine. Nothing to complain about. Good service. Bread was refilled as fast as we... More

Had dinner here and the sandwiches and steak dinner were great. The cheese board appetizer was a big disappointment. It consisted of three very small pieces of cheese (smaller than a ping pong ball), a few slices of apple and a sprinkle of walnut pieces. At $15, it was seriously overpriced. I'd go back for the sandwiches, but not the... More

First off, reservations are a must if you would like to get a seat during the evening hours. The restaurant is located in the heart of Madison in the picturesque area between the two lakes, not far from the State Capitol building or the Dane County Airport. The atmosphere is fantastic with large dark wood beams and embellishments, high ceilings,... More

Being from out of town the place is a little hard to find and park, but has a great view, great staff, unique menu. I really enjoyed the Espadin Old Fashion and the Gianna desert, however broccoli rabe fell flat and my duck was good, but not exceptional.

Attended for a late Saturday morning breakfast with family ... a bustling place with plenty of servers. Enjoyable and reasonable cost

We have eaten at Sardine's a number of times for brunch and dinner, and it is always good. The service is impeccable. The food is interesting, well prepared and delicious. The only drawback we have ever experienced, actually only me, is their poached eggs. The yokes are never runny, always near solid. Aside from that, I could eat there every... More

My wife and I celebrated her parents anniversary here and had an excellent meal. Service was very good and everything was timely. The bread was outstanding! I would highly recommend you try this place for an elegant meal. Very in-pretentious.
