State Street Brats offers a consistently satisfying experience that meets expectations for a Brat House. If you are looking for gourmet food, this isn't it - but the brats, burgers, fries and curds are outstanding. Tremendous selction of beers and fun environment.

I stopped in for dinner. They had a beer special. Excellent start. The bar tender took my brat order. But didn't mention anything about fries. I over heard the cook ask about them and then asked for fries. She mentioned that she didn't like brats so didn't know which were the best. Seriously! They have a condiment bar with sauerkraut,... If you are in a mood for a burger or brat, this place is hard to beat. Not fancy but since probably a gallon of beer is spilled on the floor nightly with the college crowd, what do you expect. We sat outside and it was a perfect people watching place. Service was decent and the food was excellent for... More

Great atmosphere for a Badger game. Great Bloodys. I was expecting the best burgers and brats in town. Did not represent as I was hoping for. In fact, i couldnt even finish my dry, old burger. My burger was dry and crusty on the edges. Susyer had a brat.. tasted like it had been sitting in a Nesco for a... More

Great pregame football atmosphere! Very busy and tough to find a seat. Drinks were excellent and the brat topping bar nearly perfect. Recommend getting a chair early before the crowds, unless you enjoy standing for hours.

This is an iconic college restaurant. always packed before and after Badger football games. Very noisey with many televisions showing various football games. The brats are great and the red brats are best. If you want a relaxing and quieter time do not go on a home football Saturday. I have been going here since I was a student in... More

I stopped in for lunch as this place was recommended to me by some friends. I ordered the red brat plate. The portions were good but the brats were a little over cooked and chewy. I liked that they had a condiment bar stocked full of all the fixings you would ever want in your brat. Not a bad experience... More

We stopped on Friday night before the Ohio State vs. Wisconsin football game. Found a table facing a TV and they allowed us to change station to Indians vs. Blue Jays game 1. Lots of Buckeye fans in the joint. Food was slightly above average. Drink selection was good. Servers hustled. We had a good time.

Went out for an evening with colleagues to this joint. We ordered quite a few different types of brats. The world's best I would say was far from "world's best", only because the cheddar brat seemed to have a better smokey flavor. The cheese curds were decent, but they fill the majority of your basket up with vegetables. I get... More

It may just be me, but state street brats is just an average dive bar. They do serve Trig's Smokehouse brats (normally delicious), but ours were over cooked. Tap beer selection was alright. People probably enjoy the nostalgia more than anything.

Thank Carl M
