Our family ate lunch at Spruce Tree Terrace on a recent weekday while visiting Mesa Verde National Park. We had just visited the Spruce Tree overlook and Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum which share a parking lot with the restaurant. We went shortly after 11 am to try to beat any kind of lunch crowd. It was a savvy move as... More

We were hoping to have lunch at the Far View Lodge; however, the Metate Room was not open for lunch. We were told by the front desk clerk at the Far View Lodge that the Spruce Tree Terrace served outdoor barbecue so we headed there. The setting was OK. The barbecue was OK. We both had the brisket which had... More

I really loved this place this first time I came. The shark tooth coffee is super yummy. Only bummer is my last visit. The guy making the coffee was not very clean. Touching the coffee pot on the trash and rubbing his nose while making my drinks. Yuck! Still giving four stars because every other visit has been great and... More

The address is kind of confusing because most everything inside Mesa Verde NP is listed under that address whereas this is listed as in Cortez, CO. However, this restaurant and gift shop is located inside the park near the end of the road not far from the Spruce Tree dwellings and the Chapin Mesa Archaeological Center and Museum. We only... Over priced. But we planned on eating at Mesa Verde. This isn't fast food. It was made to order. Food was hot and fresh. Portion size large. Navajo taco came with all the right stuff; picante sauce and sour cream!! They had honey and butter also for dressing the taco. Kids meal was good. There was a large hair in... More

Had ice cream bars here one afternoon and lunch another. There's a good sized outside seating area that may be good certain times of the year, but way too hot when we were there. Service at lunch can be slow, so plan accordingly. The staff were very friendly and the food was pretty good. They serve the same home-made chips... More

This is inside Mesa Verde National Park. The taco is huge and delicious. We had to wait a while because a tour bus had come in, but it was definitely worth the wait.

You can grab a good lunch or heavy snack here at the grill. Indian tacos and the pizza is ready to go. Buffet style with self serve tables. Friendly service

Stopped here for lunch. Prices are high, service was fine, food was the worst meal I've had in years. Gummy hot dog bun, partially frozen fries, cold chile, fry bread was so tough and rubbery that my teeth were literally sqeaking as I tried to rip a piece off and chew. Most of our four lunches ended up in the... More
