About
At Superior Bathhouse Brewery, you will find 18 unique craft beers on tap and fresh eats daily! Superior Bathhouse Brewery is the only brewery in the world to use thermal spring water to brew craft beers! The brewery, taproom, and restaurant are located in a 100-year-old historic bathhouse inside Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, America's first federally protected parklands. Established in 2013, owner and brewer, Rose Schweikhart envisioned Superior Bathhouse Brewery as a place that honors the natural wonder of Hot Springs' famous thermal spring waters, the rich history of the National Park and Bathhouse Row, and the joy of great beer, fresh food, and time spent with good people.

After browsing all the positive reviews for Superior Bathhouse Brewery, we decided to make it our stop in Hot Springs for lunch. The location is right in the middle of Bathhouse Row, and housed in a retired bathhouse. Due to COVID, there was a brief wait outside, as they are offering counter service rather than seated ordering. Once at the counter, we ordered the pretzel & beer cheese, burgers, fries & tomato bisque. The pretzel was great & the burgers were fantastic & flavorful. Be sure to try their home made root beer, craft beer flights & cider, they all hit the spot. The only negative I can offer is there isn’t a large seating area, but rather a handful of tables on each side of the restaurant as well as counter seating along the front windows. For a great bite to eat, be sure to stop by Superior Bathhouse Brewery!

Homemade root beer with unlimited refills. Best Root Beer I have ever had. I had the bock-bock fried chicken sandwich and it was amazing. Husband had burger and fries with beer in a "squealer" which is like a smaller version of a growler. The container can be taken into the street to enjoy. His food/beer were also very good. This place required face masks which we appreciated. The servers were all working hard, but the manager, Ryan was doing such a great job of greeting customers, taking orders, delivering orders, cleaning - such a multitasker and kept the line moving. Hard to find good service like this!

Superior Brewery prides itself on brewing its beers using the spring water. They offer quite an extensive choice of beers as some very interesting ciders. Food choice is not as extensive but the hot dog and the buffalo chicken sandwich were decent. As the portions were reasonable, we took their two desserts (bretzel and root beer float).

While in Hot Springs, we were excited to try this unique restaurant given its apparent charm and outward appeal. We had to wait a bit to get inside, but weren't too upset about that since it was spring break and there were a lot of people in town. By the time we were seated, it was fairly late and we ordered the beer bath and an appetizer. We enjoyed the first few tasters and the pretzel a lot, but we did not receive any more service from our server for around an hour after our appetizer was dropped off. Multiple times we were passed by our server, but we had to wait a very long time to order our entrees. When we did order, it took another 50 minutes for our food to arrive, which was longer than it took for those around us. These significant gaps in service and the quality of the service overall ruined our experience at the restaurant. Overall, we spent over three hours waiting outside, inside, and for food at this place, which was not worth it given the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. You'll need to be comfortable being cramped at dinner too, and it may be tricky to go as a large party because the majority of their seating is at a thin wooden plank set in front of the window.

When you are coming to visit the Superior Bathhouse make sure you are coming for the beer and not the food. They had a great selection of beers on tap and available for flights. However, the food is where things went downhill. It took approximately an hour for our food to finally arrived and when it did it was cold. We had previously mentioned to our waitress we had reservations for a tour and she never once mentioned that the kitchen was backed up until an hour in when we inquired about where our food was. We honestly think she just forgot to grab our order from the kitchen when it was ready. Because when she went to check on the order it was "just being plated." Freshly plated food doesn't come out cold... All in all the flights were great. The food was just utterly disappointing.

I ordered a flight of 4 beers. My wife had previously ordered a sample of one of the four so I already knew what one of them tasted like. So I was surprised when the version in my flight tasted totally different. A simple mistake right? All I wanted was the right pour. I pointed this out, politely, to our waitress. Surprisingly, she simply insisted that she had given me the right pour and walked away. What happened to the customer being always right? My wife ordered a salad advertised as coming with feta cheese (the Roasted Beet Salad). There was hardly any. The lack of cheese was clearly an oversight on the part of the cook, right? But after the reception of our complaint about the error in the beer flight, my wife just hunkered down and ate her salad without complaint. We asked for our check, eager to get out of there. Shortly after that our waitress returned but to an adjacent table, chatting up a couple and clearly having a great time. 10 minutes later she left that table and dumped our check on our table. The kindest thing to say would be that the waitress was having an off night but with this experience I can't say that we'd return here under any circumstances. IT just wasn't right. Their beer is average, even when the proper ones are delivered. Overall, an average meal and drinks, ruined by the service.

My food (a burger with bacon onion jam) was perfectly cooked and juicy. My husband’s mushroom Swiss burger was charred and dry. The fries were cold and over seasoned. Our waitress didn’t come by at all after we got our food until she came to hand us the check. I’m wondering if the lack of attention had to do with us not ordering beer because it seemed like other folks were getting better service. The location is great and the ambiance is really fun, but I definitely would skip if we came to Hot Springs again.

Nice that hey have restored this bathhouse isn’t a restaurant. We were seated quickly, but chairs are not comfortable and even some people were seated at ledges not much larger than a window sill. They are serving a limited menu due to covid and prices seem high compared to what you get.

Home crafted beer with local ingredients and unique flavors? YES, PLEASE. We came specifically because proceeds go to the park service. We shared a flight of beer and I wish I had ordered a larger flight... Every beer was simply delicious, even the ones we didn't "prefer." The staff took the time to help us select flavors we were likely to enjoy (OMG, there is one that literally tastes like a sandwich... TRY IT) and it was a nice touch. Masking is enforced while not eating, which made us feel quite safe in combination with social distancing. Parties are asked to wait outside to be seated. The root beer. GET ONE and plan to BUY A JUG TO TAKE HOME. (You can bring your own jug to save on cost.)

Pet friendly great location. Plan on a wait. Waited about 45 minutes before being seated for lunch. Our server Taylor was the absolute best. She brought water bowls and water for our dogs and bought our drinks promptly and was on top of things for any request we had. She also brought our two dogs Superior Brewery bandanas! We had our two under 9 year old granddaughters with us but weren’t offered a kids menu so we ordered them a regular meal to share. Not a huge deal but they both didn’t want the same food and we kinda forced them to eat it. Ok, the beer...I had the bees knees. It has basil flavor which sounds bizarre but it was good. Hubby had an IPA and I guess he liked it, he had two. I wish we had tried the samplers of beers but maybe next time Food...Ordered the pretzel to share and it was awesome! Cheese sauce sat there a while before we got it as it had that cheese film on top. Asked for more cheese it was hot and fresh. Chicken fingers the kids had were hot and really good. Fries were barely warm. Hubby had a Tap burger, nothing spectacular but was pretty good. Fries were less than warm. Taylor offered a new order of fries! She brought him a hot tray of fries but by the time they were ready we were done. Since the place is packed I understand how it took a while to get a new order. I had the yum bowl. It was not barely luke warm on arrival but was so tasty. I loved the coconut and lime together...it was so yum! Taylor offered to warm it but I prefer to never send food back. She took the tofu up charge off my meal for us. Very customer service oriented and super friendly! Ask for Taylor as your server! I would go back again maybe between lunch and dinner it might be less busy

We just left. The beer was good. Not great but good. We visit a lot of breweries in our travels and at home. The food was bad. Our hamburgers had a very bitter, funny, off taste - so much that I asked my husband if he thought the meat was bad. He didn’t think so but time will tell. Hopefully it was just because they were burnt. The service was horrible. The waiter literally threw the menus over my husband‘s shoulder so he ended up dropping one while fumbling around trying to get it. The food was delivered and no one followed up. We were seated at a very thin plank in the window and spent our time waving flies off of our napkins and silverware and glasses and food…. would not recommend nor return. Really too bad because I read about the female brewmaster using the mineral waters in her brews, and the interesting location, and I was looking forward to it being a fun experience! Definitely not!!!!!

Service was spotty. We had to wait an hour for the table. When we became first in the list, we still had to wait 10 minutes to be seated at one of the open tables because they were seating others who just came in. The food was great. We had a Reuben with fries, hamburger with fries, and a beet, arugula salad with fried chicken. All the food was good. The fried chicken was superb. The salad needed to be cut and they only had plastic knives. Being able to order 4oz beer samples was fun. I advise against the Arkansour unless you like Sauer kraut juice. Root beer and beer are made with the thermal water.

#1a burger I’ve ever had. Gouda cheese with bacon. Perfect flavor. Really really good. Very happy with burger. Had a Caesar salad with it. It was a Caesar salad.... Jessica took very good care of me. I asked about domestics, she said they only had house brews. So I ordered tea. Food came out really fast. Arrived at perfect temperature. When she brought my food she asked what domestic I liked and I answered the standard beer flavored water, Coors Light. When she checked on me again, she brought a small sample of their lightest beer . It was good. I ordered a pint. Burger even better with the beer. I spoke a bit with her and she told me about the burger with a bacon onion jam that I will have to try when I’m back in HS.

First we arrived right before the crowd and while crowded, there was a waiting line less than 10 minutes later. The server was friendly and professional. They push using your phone app to see the menu and when we explained we were of the older generation, provided us with traditional menu's. I could smell the wing sauce throughout the restaurant so I did not give much thought into my order. Wings in Buffalo sauce. My wife ordered the traditional hamburger with a medley of pickled cucumber, tomato and onion salad. That was just the ticket for a hot day. Wings were very good but not outstanding. Hamburger was cooked as desired and was good but the salad was great. Since we were driving we ordered a flight of 4 beer samples. Their Bach Beer was one of the best I tried. The others were good but not extraordinary. We were eating bar style looking out the window. Our neighbors ordered a corn beef sandwich and a beet salad. They said they enjoyed both. Their portions (especially the salad) was very large. All in all a very good visit at reasonable price for a tourist town.

We ate here for lunch - decided to go around 11:15 and glad we did because there was a line waiting at noon. Ordered the bock bock chicken tenders, one with honey mustard and the other buffalo. We chose slaw and side salad for sides. The chicken tenders were huge and cooked to perfection (ordered them fried but can get them grilled). The side salad was spring mix with tomatoes, cucumber and cheese and was plentiful for a side salad. My husband ordered the slaw and said it was good. The restaurant uses the spring water to make the beer and root beer. We got root beers and it was tasty - not sweet like a lot of root beers. We would definitely eat here again . Our waitress was very friendly and service was prompt.
