We were unexpectedly in West Branch due to a screw up in hotel reservations in Coralville. We were looking for another place "Down Under" that we found on Yelp ,but had trouble locating it despite being in a very small town. Turns out it was a half a block away and actually was "down under" ground level with no signage... More

By far the best Canadian bacon/sauerkraut pizza around. Has been freshened up and service is always friendly. Favorite pizza place!

Small town atmosphere, reasonably priced beer and really good pizza! The popcorn is a nice addition and is tasty too.

I ordered a meat lovers pizza from here and it was delicious. The restaurant was easy to find. Pizza was great.

I chose Herb 'n' Lou's because there was a shady place to park on a hot evening. I was impressed by the friendliness of the employees, who were hit by a rush just before I arrived. They wanted to take good care of all their customers, most of whom were obviously regulars. When my pizza arrived, I was so hungry... More

Herb 'n' Lou's, named after the town's most famous son, Herbert Hoover and his wife, Lou Henry Hoover, is the place to go for italian food, especially pizza. Herb's Heaper is piled up with everything and is a favorite of many, especially after a day touring the Hoover Presidential Library-Museum and Hoover National Historic Site - or friday night football... Every time we are in West Branch pheasant hunting we have to stop at Herb 'n' Lou's. No matter who is in the group they all love the atmosphere, free popcorn, and of course the pizza. If you ever get the opportunity try their taco pizza.....fabulous !!!

It is hard when you are traveling to pick just the right place to stop. We forgot to ask for some suggestions when we were at the Library so we just picked one. We just wanted something small. Herb 'n' Lou's is a bar restaurant that serves pizza. It smelled good and they had some small pizza's available. We were... More

We were in town on a Monday visiting the Hoover Presidential Museum and there did not seem to be a lot open. We stopped here and had a very tasty pizza at a very reasonable price. They also had salads and sandwiches available. Nothing fancy. Small dining area in front, bar/large eating area in the back. We ordered at the... More

A great local restaurant with tasty pizza. The best is the "Herbs Heaper"- a deluxe with all the topping. Avoid the salads, it's just not what they're good at. Pick up or dine in. On a Friday night call at least an hour to 90 minutes ahead!
