Elegance , charm, chic, cool ....this is a place to be seen! Lots to see if you like people watching , and really relaxing atmosphere!
We ate too which was lovely but didn’t leave us ‘blown away’ by the choice of the menu and the combination of dishes.
Lobster was overcooked and over infused with rosemary (why rosemary with lobster in the first place?). The wagyu beef was superb but I’d have liked an Indonesian twist .

This restaurant is set in a beautiful garden, and offers French fine dining. We had the 7 course degustation menu which was absolutely delicious, especially the foie gras that Métis is famous for. The staff were all friendly but we expected top notch professionalism at a restaurant like that, so we were slightly disappointed when we were presented a 2018 bottle of wine to substitute a 2016 one, and were told it’s pretty much the same. Otherwise, we had a perfect time celebrating a birthday and enjoyed our dinner very much.

Had lunch here at Metis and was pleasantly surprised. It was my first time here and from the entrance, the place looks small but man, the moment you enter, you see how spiralling the restaurant was. The design and ambiance was on point and the food was sensational. Service was good but the true highlight was the food. We had Truffle Pizza, Fish Tartare and Soft Shell crab appetizers and had the Gnocchi and Steak for mains. The food was really top notch for Bali standards and an experience to remember. Would totally reccomend for sure.

Dined last night with two families. As it’s a crazy time of year to travel we prebooked before leaving home. We had an early start to the day so we elected the Sunset Dinner beginning at 5.30pm. The menu was 3 course for 29500K
Unfortunately, there was some confusion with which menu and we were offered a New Year Menu Of 100000K. Not ideal for 7 people. The starter of tuna and quinoa was lovely and the complimentary bread and fresh rice paper roll was appreciated. The main Le Beof was under cooked and under seasoned. Unusual mint mousse for desert
Whilst cocktails are always very reasonable in Bali, the imported wine is a killer
The venue has a gorgeous outdoor, tranquil vibe but seemed very crowded with so many young, confused staff members trying to please patrons
Will return again I’m sure, but wasn’t up to scratch this time

I had ravioli & soft crab entree (gluggy ravioli & flavourless sauce)
Then truffle pork (most expensive on menu)
Had not a hint of truffle.
Husband had crab soup (was good) and stuffed chicken (greasy & rubbery)
Then massive service & tax fees
Very disappointed as this was once one of the best restaurants in the south of Bali. Won't be returning

We had a mixed experience at Métis with our large group. The venue is lovely, set in relaxing lush grounds, and the cocktails were good and with a visit just for this. However, the food was a bit ‘hit and miss’. Some dishes were very tasty and well executed, others a bit below what you would expect for a restaurant at this price point in Bali.

The food is at best a 7/10, not very creative but good dishes. Steaks are well cooked, fish tartares could be better.
Innovative cocktail list, and a fantastic wine list(although didn’t order but had a read).
But oh my what appalling service for such a restaurant. At first the waiter rushes to get a first order, and then you remind them about every time you need the plates taken away (when they are empty and cutlery put in the plate - they don’t get the message), constantly asking to replenish water...and no it’s not that busy, around 65% capacity. So what do they do at full capacity, I dread to think.
Was genuinely disappointed at service and would highly recommend the restaurant to do something about it.

This is quite possibly the most romantic restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of visiting in my life. The ambiance is very good, the service is attentive and friendly, yet not overbearing. The clientele are well dressed and polite, not loud like in so many other places we visited in Bali.
I can barely remember all the food we tried because we were enjoyed the delicious martinis so much. We wondered from the bar for some pre dinner drinks, to the table were we feasted and enjoyed some amazing wine. Then to the sofa area for aperitifs and dessert. Thank you for a fantastic evening

It’s a tourist trap. Very bad food, nothing to do with the french cuisine. I ordered a bouillabaisse soup wich was miserable, not fresh. My partener ordered a steak wich was nothing special and the mashed potatoes were really bad. There are so many good restaurants in Seminyak, don’t waste your time with Metis.

Location and athmosphere clearly spectacular. But also the prices are spectacularly high. A few years ago this was fine as also the food was clearly first class. It is still good food but for the price you pay there are other restaurants in Seminyak that are equally expensive but were also the food is consitstenly exceptional

We dined at Metis on the first day of their newest High Tea menu launch and it was divine. Food was of the highest quality and service was excellent. Staff were keen to make us as comfortable as possible. Great value for money at 155 000 Rp per person. The amount of food received was well worth the humble expense. My only criticism/item for consideration was that one person in our group does not drink tea or coffee and therefore had to pay extra for a sparkling water. Perhaps a soft drink could be included in the offer?

Métis is a truly exquisite restaurant.
The setting is Bali at its best, the grounds are incredible. I would recommend ensuring you have time for a pre-dinner drink in the garden before being seated.
The menu has a lovely French focus and so many choices. - Le Mixed Grill, a medley of fish and seafood for two was outstanding!
The service was truly perfect too! The team is very attentive, never over bearing but always there when you want them. Their knowledge is excellent, great training.
Having eaten all over the world, we would rate Métis as one of our all time favorites. We ate there on a Thursday night and booked again for Saturday night, it is a Bali must for any foodie.

The whole set up was romantic with red rose decoration. Service was exceed my expectations, staff were very attentive.
They said it was a special menu for valentine, I hope they have it everyday because it was extraordinary.
Definitely will come for some afternoon tea.

The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, and it's well worth a visit for the gardens alone. However, the staff was not quite as attentive as one might expect from a fine dining restaurant in Bali (or anywhere for that matter). The food is excellent, but certainly on the pricey end.

Metis ticked all the boxes for us on our last night on Seminyak. Excellent yellow fin tuna and quinoa salad to start followed by an incredible truffle pizza and large rib eye. We LOVE pizza and this was one of the best in Bali. The staff were impeccable, we had the pleasure of Ketut serving us who was just brilliant and made us feel right at home. A thoroughly enjoyable evening in a gorgeous restaurant with a western feel that would rival pizza in Italy! Highly recommend 10/10 for taste, service and setting!
