I stayed for a while so I got to try a lot of the menu. The food is delicious! They use locally sourced produce and it's always very fresh and tasty. They also do cooking classes, so you can learn your favourite dishes. Not only...is the food super yummy, you have a nice few of the garden and sea while eating and the staff are really lovely too 😊. Thank you for everything!More

The food was delicious & clean. I ate here several times because I really enjoy both of the taste & ambience. Just in the backyard there's the beach & the famous coral garden. They also have cooking class everyday at 11 am!

The ingredients are grown in the garden, it’s made super fresh with love. I tried pretty much every single Balinese dish and my favorites are bling bling and liklik plus the banana stem one 😋😋😋

Delicious food with a great sea view. You can choose from many options for reasonable prices. My favorites were traditional Lak Lak, pancakes or Kur Dadar Pisang for breakfast, both with fresh fruit salad. For lunch I recommend the fish, as they are buying them...directly from the fishermans every morning. And if you are interested in traditional balinese kitchen, you can even take the cooking class there :)More

The menu is extremely varied, and provides several options that you won't usually find on menus. They have a variety of dishes that are usually prepared for Balinese ceremonies, and are made out of interesting and unique ingredients! It is a very vegan and vegetarian...friendly restaurant.More

Just eaten at Smiling Buddha for the second times in three nights (we are staying next door in Skydancer Villas) and again have had a superb meal. So far we have tried 7 different dishes between four of us. Each one was excellent. Some of...the best food we have had in Bali so far. Sadly we were the only people in there, maybe because it’s near season end but this place is well worth a visit.More

I didn’t have a bad meal here! Each meal was delicious and filling. The service is great, too! Try the gado gado + the Balinese pancake!

Smiling Buddha offers delicious foods. I definitely recommend the local Balinese dishes... they’re super yummy and healthy. The waiters and waitresses at the restaurant are all lovely and friendly and they provide a top service. Enjoy the beautiful and tranquil scenery as the restaurant is...located in front of the beach. Definitely a go to place if you’re in Amed!More

The food at Smiling Buddha is super delicious. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and humble and the view out on the garden and the ocean behind is stunning. It's got a yoga-studio flair, as you can sit low on cushions on the floor...(or on a table if you prefer). There are also inspirational pictures of spiritual leaders and quotes all around which make one smile. Try all their traditional vegetable dishes! They're addictive! They also offer a nice breakfast, whereby you can watch the fishermen return with their catch of the day :)More

We had a lovely evening at this restaurant during our time in Amed. When we arrived the restaurant was super quiet (a bonus for us!) so we got to watch the sun set in peace with an amazing view of the sea. The food was...pretty good (garlic bread a little basic but tasty) the drinks were excellent and the service from the staff brilliant. Would definitely recommend.More

The Smiling Buddha Restaurant serves delicious, healthy and food and also the ambience is super relaxed and peaceful. I stayed in Amed for a week and ate at this cafe for several times. I tried different things on the menu and was never disappointed. The...menu is traditional Indonesian food, offering many vegan and vegetarian friendly options. My absolute favourite is the "Grilled Barracuda" and the "Jukut Kacang Panjang"... so incredibly tasty! Also the breakfast are delicious and servings come in good portions and with beautiful presentation. Definitely worth it a try, Indonesian food is so much more than Nasi Goreng!!More

We we're staying next door at Villa Sky Dancer and Smiling Buddha was only a two minute walk. This is considered Amed even though you are 15 minutes from the more central part where dive shops, bars and restaurants are. Anyway, we had the place...to ourselves, with gorgeous views of the ocean. Staff was great, and the food was fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend Smiling Buddha and next time I'll have to do the cooking class!More

If you are travelling in Amed, be sure to stop at Smiling Buddha. Book in for a traditional, organic cooking lesson. 11:00am everyday. Be sure to book one day before. You will need to pay a deposit at the time of booking which is very...reasonable. We selected 3 dishes including desert. The cooking experience was fun and the taste was unbelievable. Go there hungry, because there is so much food to enjoy. It was the best food I have ever had in Bali. Beautiful peaceful setting on the beach. Satay, Satay, Satay. 👍👍👍👍👍More
