This is a company restaurant that is very clean, quick service, English speaking staff. Thali lunches are tasty and not expensive. Good view of vast rice fields.

Good taste some times, not regular. Eat in may be suitable, dont take away food will not get proper count. I had a bitter experience on 03/11/2019 from Perumthuruthy branch. I am not interested to explain more, so please take care about the parcel. Tom...joseph.More
terrible food here. we tried the "signature" fried duck, the tiger prawns, the fish curries, and the roast beef and roast chicken. All very average, with the prawns being downright unpleasantly presented, and not at all tasty. definitely a disappointment, as this place has a...good reputation which was the reason we took the long drive (very nice drive though)More
Avees is the best non vegetarian breakfast available in between Alleppy and Changanaserry road. The view from first floor restaurant is unique and you can get a glimpse of grand Kuttanad picturesque. Putra or Appam and duck curry combination is superb. Ready mix powders and...Savories are available for sale at ground floor.More
On my return from a day trip to Kochi, I was famished as it was past my usual lunch time that on the Alleppey-Changacherry road I spotted the Avees Puttu house. I had been to their sister joint near Thiruvalla and so was expectantly looking...forward to a Duck roast ! Being the first time, I had to ask my way to the Restaurant as I entered their ground floor store where they sell the raw materials. When they said it was upstairs I was wondering why till I reached the restaurant and saw the view. I always had thought that the "room with the view" was a Western concept but the view here was almost breathtaking with a panoramic view of a "field of waterlilies" as far as the eyes could see! I saw people enjoying their Thaalies (vegetarian multiple curry/stir-fries etc) presented in a unique way in a semi-circular plate place around a ceramic plate (usually we expect it on a larger round steel plate or a big banana leaf). I went for the Duck curry with Parotha combination and after seeing the vast expanse of the waterbody that reminded me of ducks and "Pearlspot" fish (Karimeen), I indulged in a Karimeen fry. I expected the Duck curry to be the usual Masala/spicy gravy (that's why I ordered Parotha with it) but got the coconut milk rich stew curry which I enjoyed with the fluffy parothas . The Karimeen fry was well done but not fleshy enough to really relish it. even a half good sized portion would have made the day but no such luck for me that day. It was reasonably priced but the service was a bit tardy with the waiter's heart not at service!. Hope it was a one-off day with a particular waiter and so I have given a 4-star !More
This is one of the worst place to have food specially if you are vegetarian. First and foremost they have 2 different places for vegetarian and non-vegetarian. But the vegetarian restaurant was serving non-vegetarian food . When asked the staff was very rude and refused...to answer any of our questions. We orderred for vegetarian meals and many of the items were missing when they served. When we asked they said item is over and we cannot help. They should have atleast informed us before taking orders. The staff was very rude and served items after we asked 2-3 times. I would not recommend anyone for this pathetic restaurant as they do not know anything about customer service.More
Very sanitary compare to local restaurants. Great food. Great service. Coffee was amazing. Very clean. Recommended duck roast and palappam.
We came across Avees while travelling from Thekkady to Alleppey, and decided to stop for lunch. We found Avees serving only pure vegetarian food. However, everything we tried here was lip-smacking! And value for money as well. The ambience is lovely. The restaurant has a...nautical set-up, with views of lush green paddy fields at the back. The space itself is huge and open. We were served by Swaminathan, who took brilliant care of us. When we asked about dessert, even though there was none on the menu, he ensured that we had a bowl of payasam. This shows how customers are taken care of. Avees also has a store at the entrance, where they sell various grocery items, which looked interesting. Recommended.More
Visited in June. We were told that it is a pure vegetarian hotel (unlike what is mentioned in their website & other reviews). Good ambiance, with nice views of the paddy fields Service was OK, food was good
this is a fine dining restaurant, we can enjoy the food with a good ambiance, very hygienic and well-maintained housekeeping, nice view to the paddy field
