I'm not quite in a food coma, but only because I didn't eat everything on my plate: Chicken and dumplings, black eyed peas, okra and tomatoes, buttermilk biscuit, sweet tea, and a big ole' heapin' of southern hospitality served up in a diner setting complete with roosters painted on the walls and pictures of Elvis, Marilyn, old gas stations and... You have to order the fried pork tenderloin biscuit covered with sausage gravy. It is rare that I order pork tenderloin but I am glad I did here. It is fried to perfection and very tender. The gravy is fantastic! It is a brown gravy made with sausage drippings. It reminds me of the gravy my grandma would make it.

A true Greensboro landmark.. the food is like eating at "grandma's".... BEST BREAKFAST in town. Lunch is your typical "meat and three" type menu that is excellent. Food is well prepared, served hot and taste home cooked.

I went to the restaurant around 1pm on a weekday and it was very crowded. The restaurant is patronage by locals. I ordered the fry fish combo that came with 2 sides: candied yams and Mac and cheese. For dessert, I had peach cobbler and banana pudding which was not good. My favorite part of the dish was the fish...seasoned... More

I've been going here at least once a month with some church friends for breakfast for two years. I usually eat pancakes with sausage and it's always great. I've tried the biscuits & gravy and it was great and I was stuffed. It's a small place and the waitresses seem to know a lot of people. It seems to be... More

This place is nothing special but it is a great place to grab a quick bite for breakfast or lunch with a menu of the food you would cook at home. The prices are reasonable and they are only open until 2:30 on weekdays, closed on weekends. Wait staff is nice and service is quick. Thursday is fried chicken day... More
