This is a very small restaurant which has been in Gatlinburg for many years (though in different locations) - it is on the main thoroughfare (Parkway) through Gatlinburg. It is somewhat rustic and not offering a lot of ambience, but the friendly welcome and service...More

We returned to The Trout House after several years away. The food and service were as fine as always! I had the Green Bean Almondine Trout and my husband had their special Trout Eisenhower, and we were both very pleased with our entrees. This is...More

On our drive down to Gatlinburg, I asked my husband what he wanted for dinner that evening and he said fish. I looked at him like he was crazy since given where we were going since we both appreciate fresh fish. Then he kindly reminded...More

We highly recommend the Smoky Mountain Trout House. Gatlinburg has become inundated with chains and we were excited to find something different. The menu includes an incredible list of trout dishes to choose from. Although we were only able to sample a small fraction of...More

Friendly staff and great trout served in about a dozen different ways. I had the smoked trout filet that was cooked perfectly and I also must recommend the fried mushrooms for an appetizer. Easy free parking close by also was a plus

Found this family restaurant on internet, and we were pleasantly surprised for the quality of food. As the name indicated, it specializes in trout cuisine. So if you are not here for the trout, you probably have limited selection. The two dishes we tried, smoked...More

Love visiting the Smoky Mountain Trout House on our annual visit to Gatlinburg. The fresh Trout is the best around. This year the serving size was a little smaller than in the past, and did not seem to be seasoned to perfection as usual, but...More

My husband and I ate at Smokey Mountain Trout and had a good dinner. The grilled trout was delicious but be careful of the few bones. My husband had the smoked trout and he wasn't quite as thrilled. They boast at having the best hush...More

This little restaurant is on the north end of downtown on the east side of the street. It is an easy walk, but there is plenty of free parking across the street.

Smoky Mountain Trout House prides itself on offering absolutely the freshest trout in Gatlinburg. Our trout are ice packed directly to the restaurant. Once it has arrived we take great care in our preparing your selection exactly as you like. All of the trout served in this restaurant are Rainbow Trout, grown in the sparkling clear waters of the Smokies. The purity and flavor of mountain trout offered great pleasure to the original settlers of the Smokies. So... have a seat, rest a spell and you, too, can enjoy a special treat... real Smoky Mountain trout! Thank you for visiting us and remember to treat yourself to trout... It's as good as all outdoors!
