We had a perfect early evening dinner on the water. The sun was welcomed with 60 degrees. I loved the whitefish, but I think I loved everything else on my plate more. The salad with homemade dressings, the wild rice with cranberries were very yummy.

EXCELLENT restaurant on the water. The food is local, fresh, and simply amazing. We have never had even an average meal here. The smoked trout salad is phenomenal. We are sad they no longer allow dogs on the patio.

Every year when we visit Grand Marais we look forward to eating at the Angry Trout. Everything is always fresh and delicious and we love the beautiful view of Lake Superior! This is hands down our favorite place to eat in Grand Marais!
