If you like Middle Eastern food, then this is the place to go. We took on driving in New York to get there from our hotel in Jersey City. It was worth dicing with death! Very attentive staff and friendly owner. Exceptional food.

This restaurant is the top Middle Eastern in NYC, not just in Bay Ridge! Food is always very fresh, impeccably seasoned and prepared. We love the lamb dishes, whole fish, shepherd's pie, and their specialty salads. Wonderful to dine in or to take out and enjoy at home. If you haven't tried Tanoreen yet, definitely go for it!!!

Getting to Tanoreen is not easy, but the culinary delights that await will make the trip more than worthwhile. The food at Tanoreen is special and not to be missed. We were a group of five and ordered seven appetizers and none disappointed. This is some of the best middle eastern food New York has to offer. The chef/owner is... More

My wife and I have been here twice now and it has been excellent both times. Starting with the bar - drinks are prepared superbly - I had a bourbon manhattan both times and it was perfect. Not what I would have expected. On to the food - terrific pickles and spiced olives with pita and flatbreads (hot) are provided... More

I've been wanting to try Tanoreen thanks to the great reviews everywhere. It did not disappoint! It's spacious by NY standards, so 4 of us enjoyed a big table. We tried a number of appetizers - hummus, cauliflower salad, beet salad, and grape leaves. All very shareable and delicious. One criticism: I was expecting fantastic hummus in a place like... More

Top notch Mideastern food. Everything is wonderful -- I especially like the falafel, hummus and babaganoush -- and the Brussels sprouts are to die for

This is my favorite local restaurant. The appetizers are to die for - the eggplant salad, the eggplant napoleon, the fried Brussels sprouts, mujadara (lentils), musakhan (a flatbread covered in chicken), the hummus are all wonderful. The mains are also quite good. Usually our meal consists of many appetizers, with one main for every 2 or 3 people. Our favorite... More

We were a group of 4 adults looking for something different. Tanoreen fit the bill perfectly!! We are fans of Middle Eastern food and know the difference between good and great. This restaurant was definitely great!!! One couple shared the Super Grill which had a beautiful assortment of meats( steak, lamb) and vegetables. Presentation was very appealing to the eye... More

This is my neighborhood restaurant, lucky me. If you are thinking about having some outstanding middle eastern food while you're in NYC, and aren't afraid of the R train (R stands for Rarely), Tanoreen will knock your socks off. This restaurant is vegetarian friendly, with a delicious and enormous vegetarian combo including dandelion greens, fatoush (salad), shulbato, lentil pilaf, veggie... More

Loved the food. Parking was a nightmare-not the restaurant's fault of course. Perhaps recommendations for packing on their website would be helpful
