Went here for my 60th birthday, and it was fabulous. Lots of other people were also celebrating birthdays or anniversaries, judging from the candles on the signature Brooklyn Bridge chocolate torte with raspberry and vanilla. Beautiful views of Manhattan, although the tables for two (sitting side by side for maximum romance) are on the back wall. Lots of excellent choices... More

The best brunch in NYC. Staff are really great, friendly and good service. The view is incredible and the food was the tastiest we had. The grapefruit breakfast cocktail was lovely. We had scrambled eggs with toast and bacon and the avocado poached eggs on toast. All really good washed down with prosecco

The striking views are only a small part of this absolutely wonderful establishment. From the moment you arrive (reservations are a must), you will be wined and dined with the best service, atmosphere, bar and food. It is truly a memorable place to go!

My Family and I have been visiting The River Cafe for either Thanksgiving or Christmas since 1993. We have never been disappointed. Besides the great location (the main dining room is actually situated above the East River) from where you could see the Twin Towers before they were destroyed. Now you see the new tower. The food is superb, the... More

My head is still reeling after the incredible party I attended at this restaurant. The storied location is beautiful with abundant glass windows so you can take in the views of both Manhattan & Brooklyn right over the river while dining. The service is impeccable and the food delicious & well presented. I was attending a private party there, but... More

The view from The River Cafe is one of the most spectacular in New York City. This is a great sunset destination for drinks at the bar. The food however is extremely pricey and not worth the price. No longer exciting.

The River Cafe is a NY tradition. The food and service excellent but the view is exquisite. The room is small but every table has a view. It is worth the price.

Sensational view, superb service, and "good eats." What's not to like? Of course, a PB&J sandwich eaten at The River Cafe would taste out of this world, but the food here really IS better than you'll find in most (but not all) NYC restaurants. So arrive hungry...oh, and with a well-filled wallet!
