I ordered a lunch special and it was ready before I signed for the bill. Insanity. It was good sushi. I sat at the bar and ate like a normal person. They provided me with all I needed. I suggest being ready the second you walk in: you'll never eat faster.

One of my sushi spots for lunch, quick and good sushi. Very friendly staff and they serve some good drinks. Most important the price is right....

Excellent bento box lunch. Large choice at $8. Very consistent over a range of items. Lovely interior. Fast service both inside and with takeout.

Have had sushi in Brooklyn before and has been fresh. Tonight not so much. Dumplings dry and stale tasting. Tuna and salmon rolls meh. There is better seaweed salad at my local supermarket chain in NH.

Ate dinner here as it was convenient to the hospital. Service was okay, not especially attentive given the small space and number of staff working. Décor was not much different than any nearby diner or deli. The drunken noodles was fair; the sauce was lacking and the noodles were rather narrow, not wide as they should be. One in our... More

My wife and I were returning late from visiting at Methodist Hospital with our niece and nephew on a Sunday night. Many places were already closed but Shin Ju was open. The food is typical average Japanese. After miso soup and an appetizer dish, my wife had Udon and shrimp while I had hibachi scallops over vegetables and rice while... More

In June we were there for a quick meal with my 3 years old son and we liked that a lot, but we didn´t have much time to try more and enjoy. Even though I must say they were very friendly with our little one! Last Saturday, we were there without the boy and we could really enjoy the great... More

Shinju looks a little deceptive. Very basic set up and interiors, with lots of staff working furiously. In fact - it was so empty for all the people on the go. It seems that loads of people order food to go, so while it appears empty inside they are actually very busy. We sat down for a quick meal. The... More
