My review of the experience is overwhelmingly positive. The atmosphere is very laid back, very authentic, and very Thai. Since its opening in Brooklyn, there have been lines around the block waiting for Pok Pok to open for dinner. During this occasion, years later, the excitement is more subdued. There are no lines, but the interior is packed. The inside... More

Pok Pok has great food and creative, delicious drinks. Service is polite and quick, and also able to help navigate the menu. It isn't cheap (we spent around $100 each with tip) but it's definitely a worthwhile experience.

I was a bit worried when walking into Pok Pok but was referred by a very good friend saying he'd been there many times and assured me the food was amazing. We just ordered a bunch of items and shared. I must say everything was amazing. We ordered the Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings, Muu Paa Kham Waan (Boar rubbed with... More

I really don't get why this place got awarded a michellin star. Flavors are authentic enough, but nothing better than an above average in Thailand. This is one of those awardees that were granted the star based on food alone like say a Peter Lugers or those food stalls in Singapore or Hong Kong, which makes this even more confusing.... More

I moved to NYC from Hollywood 4 years ago, and have been lamenting the lack of good thai food here. I was spoiled by living in Thai Town, and I can't stand the strange things New York restaurants put in their curries. I can see how they have a Michelin star - the flavors were crisp, fresh, and wonderful. I... More

Sawadee Krap :) Best Thai food I ever had. The whole poussin, the baked prawns with pork belly and glass noodles, the beef salad and the ribblets were all delicious and authentic in flavors. The ribblets were just a bit tough. The ice cream sandwich is a must. One negative, the price, $166 for 2 tip included. Cocktails $12 and... More

In the area for a musical event and looked to change some things up visiting other boroughs to sample the goods. Pok Pok is one of those neighborhood gems that I could visit frequently in the rotation. Tricked out and funky, the vibe is definitely laid back as opposed to frenetic. A nice variety of options, we enjoyed the wings,... More

My friend has lived in Red Hook since well before it was trendy and when restaurants finally starting popping up we were glad to have somewhere within strolling distance. We've talked about going to Pok Pok for ages but never got around to it. Especially since I live overseas now and I'm ot around as much! Well we FINALLY made... More

Spicy. That might be the best adjective to describe Brooklyn's Pok Pok. This Thai restaurant has been on Columbia Street for years and always serves up delicious fare. We went last night and had the whole fried Branzino (fish was delicious but all the fried lemongrass, chillies, garlic on top was cooked beyond taste). We also had their bbq'ed ribs,... More

Make a special trip here to get some flavorful Thai food. Also try their infused cocktails- tamarind infused bourbon was fabulous. Our table of four started with the spicy chicken wings and then shared three different entrees, including a beef dish and pork dish. Service was good and efficient. We'll definitely go back.
