These guys are getting greedy. They are taking reservations with no intent of seating customers. The noise is deafening. They are losing control of the experience.

Hi I am sorry to hear that we are not living up to the expectations we have in the past. I sounds like you had a pretty bad visit and I would like to hear more about it. Waiting to long a for a table can really change the entire dining experience and ruin it right from the start. I... More

We were seated at a banquette, the banquette tables near to each other so that we were each closer to our next table neighbors than to each other. Service was friendly bordering on ingratiating. Food was excellent, portions large for tapas bars. We had bluefish, salad, cauliflower, mushroom with goat cheese, each dish large enough for us to have several... More

Not much to complain about. In fact, I will go back without hesitation. But I'm not ready to pass full judgment on food quality. It was good but not unforgettable.

Jason was an amazing server! He was so friendly and made our experience so special. He explained the menu so clearly and checked back so many times during the meal to see how we were doing. I'm a hospitality student and he is probably one of the most hospitable servers I have ever had. GIVE JASON A PROMOTION!!!!!

My wife and I made 18:00 reservation on a lovely Boston September evening, took an Uber and we were promptly seated at a 4-top inside, as requested. The outside dining area was full, with a waiting line. I guess that sitting at crowded tables on a suburban sidewalk to see and be seen is cool, despite the noise of rush... More

Dinner on the patio was special. The place has a nice buzz of activity, with lots of people watching in the restaurant and on the street. Food was very tasty and varied, kind of like a taste bud adventure. Go early evening as the place fills up, which tells you it is one of the better places to eat and... More

My wife and I just had our third meal at Barcelona. Excellent every time. We are vegetarian, but had our son along this time, and he checked out some of the other dishes. Among our favorites: a spaghetti squash cazuela, a spinach and chick pea cazuela, grilled broccolini, and a potato tortilla. We ordered the paella vegetales (excellent) and were... More

We had an early reservation on 9/17 with a large group to reunite with friends from CA. Some were very late and the restaurant busy on a gorgeous day so they had to give away out table. We enjoyed drinks outside and were quickly accommodated at a table outdoors. We were so appreciative they found a place for a large... More

Great tapas place in Brookline. Went there for anniversary dinner. Casual feel and larger than anticipated. Food was great, especially the gamba (shrimp) with garlic and cucumber salad. Bread wonderful also. Service good also although wine came to slowly and a couple of serving dishes removed too quickly while we were still looking for more of the sauce on them.... More

We spent a nice a evening with old friends. It is a fun place and the food is ok. Not nicely decorated plates with delicious chicken. The tortilla tapa left a lot to be desired.

Hi I am sorry to hear that you felt the food on your visit was underwhelming. I was hoping you had the time to speak with me a little about your experience and what you thought we could have done differently. I value the feed back of our guests and look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to... More

Barcelona meets Brookline, and a sophisticated Boston neighborhood has a wine bar to call its own. A historic town located minutes from downtown Boston, Brookline is the perfect mixture of urban and country living. From large estates and recreational parks to boutiques and pedestrian-filled streets, Brookline offers a city atmosphere in a suburban setting. Located in Washington Square at 1700 Beacon Street, Barcelona is the newest addition to this lively neighborhood dining destination. A mix of antique wire glass, steel and reclaimed wood gives our newly built space a vintage appeal. The rustic, polished environment is the next best thing to eating tapas and drinking wine in our restaurant's namesake city. With hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and spacious patio, the space has a European charm which fills the menu as well.
