The first thing you notice on entering is the DEAFENING NOISE! Then you notice the hipsters. If you can get beyond this -- and it's almost impossible to get over the noise -- the food is pretty good. It's not very authentic Spanish food, but...More

The small plates are always delicious but the noise is also always deafening. We were there with a large party and the service was very good considering the size of the group. The noise keeps us away, but younger people are probably very happy there.More

The food at Barcelona is tasty, but not authentically Spanish. Although the dishes are based on Spanish bar food, they lack flair. Some are overly refined, others are bland; and there's nothing original or inspired to them. This is not to say that you can't...More

On a recent Thursday night the restaurant was hopping! Its definitely a young crowd- but though we are in our 50s we enjoyed the energy and vibe in the room. We had a reservation and were seated at a great booth in the bar area....More

Each dish they are bringing is bursting with flavor. Be careful you may end up eating too much; you will not realize it at first. Especially the mushrooms and the octopus are to die for. One advice: order the chicken from the entrees menu. It...More

Went to the Brookline Barcelona last night because my son has spoken so highly about it and we were not disappointed. The warm bread and dipping oil they serve before dinner certainly hit the spot. As a starter, we ordered a meat and cheese platter....More

Description
Barcelona meets Brookline, and a sophisticated Boston neighborhood has a wine bar to call its own. A historic town located minutes from downtown Boston, Brookline is the perfect mixture of urban and country living. From large estates and recreational parks to boutiques and pedestrian-filled streets, Brookline offers a city atmosphere in a suburban setting. Located in Washington Square at 1700 Beacon Street, Barcelona is the newest addition to this lively neighborhood dining destination. A mix of antique wire glass, steel and reclaimed wood gives our newly built space a vintage appeal. The rustic, polished environment is the next best thing to eating tapas and drinking wine in our restaurant's namesake city. With hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and spacious patio, the space has a European charm which fills the menu as well.
